Nokia 225 4G (2024) Feature Phone

HMD Global, the current licensee for Nokia smartphones, appears to be gearing up for a refresh of its Nokia 225 4G feature phone, originally launched in December 2020. A recent collaboration between Android Headlines and tipster OnLeaks has unveiled the upcoming model's design changes.

New Design and Features

The upcoming Nokia 225 4G model will embrace a boxier design, aligning with the current trend in the smartphone market. Sporting a minimalist back design with a single camera, LED flash, and Nokia plus HMD branding, the device aims for a sleek appearance.

Enhanced Specifications

Featuring a 2.4-inch display with noticeable bezels and a traditional keypad, the phone stands out with the inclusion of a USB Type-C port for charging. With 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of storage, expandable via a slot, the device maintains standard specifications for feature phones. Its 1,450 mAh battery surpasses its 2020 counterpart, promising extended usage on a single charge.

Camera and Software

The back camera is rumored to be upgraded to 3 MP from the previous 0.8 MP, a significant improvement for this type of phone. Operating on the Nokia Series 30+ OS, the device might not support modern apps, appealing to users seeking a phone without distractions. The anticipated price for the Nokia 225 4G 2024 model is approximately €100 in Europe.
