Casio has revealed two special edition Pro Trek watches to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its famous outdoor gear series – the PRW-61ANS-3 and the PRG-340ANS-3. These new models highlight thirty years of the Pro Trek collection, particularly its guiding principle of being “One with Nature.”

Unique Features of the PRW-61ANS-3

The PRW-61ANS-3 is the standout of the launch, being the first analog-digital Pro Trek watch to feature a vapor deposition dial finish. This unique technique creates a dazzling sunlight appearance, reminiscent of light filtering through trees. Both watches showcase striking gold details on the bezel, metallic keeper, and buttons, which contrast beautifully with their rich green resin cases and bands.

Historical Design Elements

The packaging, strap, and case back illustrate a timeline of significant model releases dating back to 1995. Important models like the original DPX-500 and key versions such as the PAG-40 and PRW-1300 are embossed in gold on the strap and inside the box. The case back also features a special emblem marking the “30th Anniversary.”

Specifications and Pricing

The PRW-61ANS-3 is equipped with Casio’s reliable Triple Sensor suite (which includes a compass, barometer, altimeter, and thermometer), Multi Band 6 radio time-sync, solar charging capabilities, and is water-resistant up to 100 meters. The PRG-340ANS-3, the second model, showcases the traditional full-digital outdoor Pro Trek display, also incorporating solar power and the essential sensor functions. Both of these anniversary editions are made using bio-based resins for their cases and bands.

Both the PRW-61ANS-3 and PRG-340ANS-3 are anticipated to be released in November. The PRW-61ANS-3 will be priced at ¥69,500 (around $451), while the PRG-340ANS-3 will retail for ¥39,500 (approximately $256) based on Japanese market pricing.
