Motorola Unveils New Moto G Power with 3 Key Upgrades

Key Takeaways

1. The Moto G Power 2026 features the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and 6.8-inch IPS display as its predecessor, the 2025 model.
2. The front camera has been upgraded from 16 MP to 32 MP, enhancing selfie quality.
3. The device has a slightly larger battery capacity of 5,200 mAh, a 4% increase from the previous model.
4. It runs on Android 16, providing an extended update period compared to Android 15 on the 2025 version.
5. The Moto G Power 2026 will be available for $299.99 in the US starting January 8, with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

Motorola has at long last revealed the Moto G Power 2026, more than seven months after the device was first spotted online. After reappearing last month following the launch of the Moto G67 Power, the Moto G Power 2026 comes less than a year after the company introduced its earlier version (curr. $199.99 on Amazon).

Minor Changes

Not much has really changed between the Motorola 2025 and 2026 devices. The new phone keeps the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and features a 6.8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,388 x 1,080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The 50 MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS) is still present, along with an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

Improved Front Camera and Battery

One notable upgrade is the front-facing camera, which has been improved from 16 MP to a higher-quality 32 MP lens. Additionally, the Moto G Power 2026 now has a slightly larger battery, with a total capacity of 5,200 mAh, which is a 4% increase. The device also runs on Android 16, rather than Android 15, meaning it should receive updates for about a year longer than the 2025 version.

Availability and Pricing

The Moto G Power 2026 will be available for order as an unlocked device starting January 8 from Amazon, Best Buy, and Motorola’s own website in the US at a price of $299.99, offering 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. In Canada, it will be priced at CA$449.99 on the same date, but exclusively through Motorola’s website. Usually, Motorola does not sell Moto G Power models outside of North America.
