Motorola is reportedly preparing to unveil a new mid-range smartphone, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo, according to a leak by tipster Sudhanshu on 91mobiles. This device is expected to succeed the Motorola Edge 40 Neo and will be part of the company’s Edge 50 series, which already includes the Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Ultra, and Edge 50 Fusion.
The leak indicates that the Moto Edge 50 Neo will be offered in two storage variants: one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, and another with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

Additionally, the leak reveals the color options for the Moto Edge 50 Neo. The phone is expected to be available in Gray, Blue, Poinciana, and Milk colors. Notably, some of these colors are said to be Pantone-certified, which has become a common practice for Motorola recently.
While further details about the device are limited at this time, it's reasonable to assume that the Moto Edge 50 Neo will share several features with its predecessor, the Edge 40 Neo.
Motorola Edge 40 Neo Specifications
For reference, the Edge 40 Neo sports a 6.55-inch pOLED display with a fluid 144Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7030 processor, providing mid-range performance. The phone offers up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which aligns with the leaked specifications for the Edge 50 Neo.
The Edge 40 Neo runs on Android 13 and is slated to receive two additional Android version updates, ensuring the device remains current with software updates for some time.

Camera details for the Moto Edge 50 Neo are still unknown, but its predecessor, the Edge 40 Neo, featured a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) for crisper photos, as well as a 13MP ultra-wide sensor for broader shots. The front camera on the Edge 40 Neo had a resolution of 32MP for selfies and video calls.
Battery life should not be an issue, as the Edge 40 Neo includes a 5,000mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging. The Edge 40 Neo also boasts an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, dual stereo speakers for richer audio, Dolby Atmos support for enhanced sound quality, NFC for contactless payments, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking.
