After the release of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, Motorola is now preparing to introduce the Edge 50 Fusion smartphone in the Indian market. Following the recent teaser reveal, Motorola has officially announced that the Edge 50 Fusion will be launched in India on May 16, 2024.
Specifications Revealed
The Flipkart microsite for the smartphone is now active, confirming several key specifications of the device. The Edge 50 Fusion will boast a 6.67-inch pOLED 3D curved display featuring a high 144Hz refresh rate, 1600 nits peak brightness, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Design and Camera Features
Available in three distinct color variants - Forest Blue with a PMMA finish, Marshmallow Blue with Vegan Leather finish, and Hot Pink with Vegan Leather suede finish - the phone will sport a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C primary camera with a 2um pixel size. Additionally, it will include a 13MP Ultra-wide camera with 120 degrees FOV and up to 4x Macro shot capability, along with a 32MP front-facing selfie camera.
Performance and Battery
Internally, the Edge 50 Fusion will be driven by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC coupled with up to 12GB of RAM. This chipset supports 15 5G bands and WiFi 6. The phone will house a 5,000mAh battery supported by 68W fast charging technology. Running on Android 14 out of the box, the device promises 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates.
Pricing and availability specifics are set to be disclosed on May 16. The Edge 50 Fusion is anticipated to be priced around ₹25,000, positioning it against competitors like the Nord CE 4, the Nothing Phone (2a), and others.
