Motorola could be launching its next-generation foldable smartphone in India soon. The upcoming flip phone might be called the Moto Razr 50 Ultra, hinting at an imminent release in the Indian market. Here's what we currently know about this potential launch.
Moto Razr 50 Ultra on the Horizon?
In January 2024, Motorola introduced the Moto Razr 40 Ultra in a new Peach Fuzz color variant in India. Now, indications suggest that its successor, the Moto Razr 50 Ultra, is in development and could hit the Indian market in the near future. The device has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standard certification with the model number XT2453-1.
What to Expect?
While the BIS certification did not disclose specific details regarding the specifications and design of the upcoming device, it does suggest that the Indian launch is not too far off. If we go by the previous model, the Razr 50 Ultra is likely to maintain a design akin to the Razr 40 Ultra and could house Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen series processor. The Razr 40 Ultra was equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
Potential Upgrades
The Razr 40 Ultra boasted a tall 6.9-inch LTPO OLED primary display and a 3.6-inch cover screen. Its rear featured a dual camera setup consisting of 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel lenses, while the front housed a 32-megapixel selfie camera. With a 3,800mAh battery supporting 30W wired fast charging and 5W wireless charging, improvements in battery life, processing power, and camera capabilities are anticipated for the Razr 50 Ultra. However, these are mere speculations at this point, so it's advisable to await further updates for concrete information.
