Lenovo Unveils Updated Legion Y700 Tablet Featuring Matte Display

Lenovo recently unveiled their Legion Y700 tablet in July 2023 and have unveiled plans for an updated model called "Super Control Edition," featuring an all new design with matte display and industry leading micronano etched AG glass to reduce reflections, improve outdoor visibility, provide soft touch user interactions and facilitate easier use. Internal components will remain the same; the only change being an update to internal components.

Enhance Display Quality

The Legion Y700 "Super Control Edition" places emphasis on aesthetics with its refreshed screen version featuring matte finishing and revolutionary glass technology from Lenovo that reduces touch friction by 50 per cent, possibly providing users with a smoother user experience and improved responsiveness.

Upgrades Are Coming Down the Pipeline

Though Lenovo has maintained the 8.8-inch high-resolution 2560X1600 display from their prior version in this updated model, Lenovo have hinted at an updated successor featuring upgraded components due to be released sometime during the second half of 2016. They confirmed this third-generation Y700 won't be made available until at least two months later and speculated this might include significant performance and feature enhancements.

Powerful Internals And Connectivity Solutions Available Now

The second-generation Legion Y700 tablet is powered by Qualcomm's 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset for superior performance, giving users two memory/storage choices: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage or 16GB RAM with 512GB storage - as well as featuring dual cameras: 13MP + 2MP on the rear with an 8MP front facing camera for improved connectivity and two USB Type-C 3.1 Gen2 ports to facilitate display output via DisplayPort 1.4 for better connectivity.
