Now, iQOO has officially teased that the iQOO 12 will come equipped with a high-end 1.5K 144Hz LTPO eSports display, tailored for an improved mainstream gaming experience. This display offers the highest peak brightness ever in an iQOO device at 3000 nits, ensuring visibility in bright conditions.
Taking it a step further, the iQOO 12 Pro is set to debut the industry’s first 2K E7 144Hz full-sensory screen, offering high definition, high brightness, high refresh rate, and low latency, alongside reduced blue light and power consumption.
At the heart of the iQOO 12 series will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, featuring an advanced processor built on TSMC’s 4nm process. The CPU is equipped with a high-frequency Cortex-X4 super core and other efficient cores, complemented by an Adreno 750 GPU that promises a 20% larger core size, improved peak performance, and reduced power consumption for superior graphics.
iQOO also recently teased the camera samples for both the standard and Pro variants, highlighting their camera capabilities. The series is also expected to stand out with its impressive advanced audio technology, a sophisticated four-zone heat dissipation system, Origin OS 4-based Android 14, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Additionally, a global variant of the iQOO 12 was spotted on GeekBench, indicating potential international release plans. It features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, up to 12GB RAM, and runs Android 14 with FuntouchOS 14. The base model is set to launch in India in December 2023 as the country’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered device.
The iQOO 12 and 12 Pro will be available in Black and White with glass rear panels, and a Red variant with a leather back, aligning with iQOO’s tradition of offering premium materials and design in its flagship offerings.
