The Vivo V30 Lite 5G smartphone has been silently announced in Mexico as the successor to the Snapdragon 695-powered Vivo V29 Lite 5G. Let's take a closer look at the specifications and features of the Vivo V30 Lite.
Display and Design
The Vivo V30 Lite 5G features a 6.67-inch curved-edge AMOLED E4 screen with a centre punch-hole. It offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 394 ppi pixel density, and up to 1,150 nits of peak brightness. Compared to its predecessor, the display is slightly smaller, as it now measures 6.67 inches instead of 6.78 inches.
Performance and Storage
Under the hood, the V30 Lite is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset. It comes with 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The device is equipped with a 4,800mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. It's worth noting that the battery size has been reduced compared to the previous model, which had a 5,000mAh battery.
Camera Setup
On the front, the Vivo V30 Lite 5G boasts a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus support. Moving to the rear, the device features a triple camera setup, including a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro or depth camera. The rear cameras are accompanied by an aura ring-LED flash with temperature control support.
Software and Other Features
The V30 Lite 5G comes preinstalled with Android 13 and FunTouch OS 13. It supports dual SIM functionality, 5G connectivity, 5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, a USB-C port, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Additionally, the device features an IP54-rated chassis, measuring 162.35 x 74.85 x 7.69mm and weighing 190 grams.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo V30 Lite is priced at MXN 8,999 (~$530) in Mexico. It is available in two color options, Forest Black and Rose Gold. Apart from Mexico, the smartphone is expected to be released in select Asian markets in the coming weeks.
