Infinix, a well-known name in budget smartphones, has introduced its first foldable device, the Infinix Zero Flip, to the global audience last week. The company has announced that this flip phone will be available in India starting on October 17, 2024.
Specifications of the Infinix Zero Flip
The Infinix Zero Flip showcases a 6.9-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED FHD+ screen, boasting a resolution of 1080 x 2640 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 1400 nits. It also features 2160Hz PWM dimming to enhance visual comfort for users.
The external display measures 3.64 inches and is an AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1056 x 1066, also featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, protection from Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and a peak brightness of 1100 nits.
Camera and Performance
For photography, the front camera is equipped with a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor with autofocus capabilities. The back has a dual-camera arrangement consisting of a 50MP Samsung GN5 main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. Both cameras can record video in 4K at 60fps, making it an excellent choice for vlogging and creating video content, complete with DV mode and GoPro mode.
The Zero Flip is powered by a Dimensity 8020 chipset, along with 8GB of RAM, 8GB of virtual RAM, and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It has a robust 4720mAh battery that supports fast charging at 70W and reverse wired charging at 10W.
Software and Additional Features
Running on Android 14 with XOS 14.5, this device promises two Android OS updates and three years of security updates. For security, it includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, while JBL dual speakers provide quality audio. Other features comprise an x-axis linear motor for enhanced haptic feedback and support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB-C.
The Infinix Zero Flip is available at a price of NGN 1,065,000 (which is about $645) in Nigeria for the 8GB+512GB version. It comes in two color options: Rock Black and Blossom Glow. On the international market, it’s priced at $599.
