Infinix has introduced its inaugural flip phone, the Infinix Zero Flip 5G, in India. After being revealed globally last month, this model is notable for its design and high-end features, particularly its dual-screen configuration, which boasts a 120Hz refresh rate on both the inner and outer displays. Let’s take a closer look at what this new device from Infinix has to offer.

Infinix Zero Flip 5G Features

The Zero Flip is designed with two screens. The inner display is a spacious 6.9-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2640 pixels) AMOLED panel that utilizes a 120Hz LTPO technology, allowing for 2160Hz PWM dimming to lessen eye fatigue, and it offers a full 100% P3 color gamut. Additionally, it can reach a peak brightness of 1400 nits.

On the outside, there's a 3.64-inch AMOLED cover screen (1056×1066 pixels) that also features a 120Hz refresh rate, with a maximum brightness of 1100 nits. This external display enables quick access to apps like TikTok, YouTube, and WhatsApp, and even allows for customizable 3D animated pets, adding a fun personal touch.

Dimensions and Performance

When opened, the Zero Flip measures 170.35 x 73.4 x 7.64mm, while folded, it is 87.49 x 73.4 x 16.04mm and weighs 195 grams. The manufacturer states that the hinge design permits angles from 30 to 150 degrees and is durable enough to withstand up to 400,000 folds.

Inside, the phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, which is a 6nm octa-core chip consisting of four 2.6GHz Cortex-A78 cores and four 2GHz Cortex-A55 cores, complemented by a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU to boost gaming and multitasking performance. It operates on Android 14 based XOS 14.5 and promises two major Android OS updates along with three years of security patches.

Camera and Battery

The Infinix Zero Flip 5G features a versatile camera array, including a 50MP main sensor (Samsung GN5) and a 50MP ultra-wide lens that captures a 150-degree field of view, perfect for expansive shots. It also has a 50MP front camera (Samsung JN1) that supports 4K 60fps video recording, making it ideal for selfies and content creation. When flipped, the device can act as a mini DV camera, equipped with an AI Vlog Mode that guides users with step-by-step instructions and offers multiple video templates.

Powering the device is a 4,720mAh battery, which comes with 70W Ultra Charge technology for speedy recharges and minimal waiting time.

Memory and Connectivity

This flip phone features 8GB of RAM, along with an extra 8GB of virtual RAM, and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring both speed and ample space for apps, games, and multimedia content.

In terms of connectivity, the Zero Flip is compatible with 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS. It also includes dual JBL-tuned speakers with Hi-Res Audio certification, providing an enhanced audio experience.
