Recently, Infinix conducted a global launch event in Malaysia to introduce the Infinix Note 40 series of smartphones. Along with the Note 40 series, they also unveiled the XBuds 3 WE and the XWatch 3 WE smartwatch. Today, Infinix has officially announced the upcoming release of the Note 40 Pro 5G series in India.
Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G Series Launch in India
A preview of a landing page on Flipkart reveals that the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G series is set to debut in India in April. The Note 40 lineup consists of four models: Note 40, Note 40 Pro, Note 40 Pro 5G, and Note 40 Pro+ 5G. However, it appears that only the 5G variants will be released in the country.
Specifications of Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Note 40 Pro 5G
The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with curved edges, offering a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It includes an in-screen fingerprint sensor and is powered by the Dimensity 7020 chip, paired with 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and a 4,600mAh battery. This phone supports 100W wired charging and 20W MagCharge magnetic wireless charging.
The Note 40 Pro+ 5G features a triple camera setup on the back with a 108-megapixel main camera (with OIS) and two 2-megapixel sensors, accompanied by quad-LED flash. For selfies, it sports a 32-megapixel front-facing camera and comes with XOS 14-based Android 14.
The Note 40 Pro 5G shares the same specifications as the Pro+ variant but differs in aspects like battery capacity, charging technology, and RAM. It comes with 8 GB of RAM, a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W charging, and is promised to receive two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
Both devices are expected to be priced below Rs 25,000 (~$300) in India. There are also speculations that the smartwatch and earbuds will also be available in the Indian market.
