Honor is set to unveil the Honor Magic V3 and Magic Vs3 foldable phones in China on July 12. Although the brand has confirmed the design and color options, the key specifications remain under wraps. Previously, Honor announced that the Magic V3 would be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the Magic V2, which weighs approximately 231 grams and measures 9.9mm when folded. Recent leaks on Weibo indicate that the Magic V3 will indeed be slimmer and lighter, offering a larger battery.
Honor Magic V3 Key Specifications (Rumored)
According to new leaks, the Honor Magic V3 will feature a 5,200mAh battery, which is 200mAh larger than the Magic V2. Despite the larger battery, the V3 manages to reduce its thickness to 9.7mm and weighs only 226 grams.
In terms of design, it is confirmed that the Magic V3 will be available in four colors: black, brown, white, and green. The phone will sport a metal frame for added durability and come with an IPX8 rating for water resistance.
The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support. While details about its ultrawide lens are still unclear, rumors suggest it will feature a periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom.
Additional Features
The large battery of the Magic V3 is expected to support 66W fast charging and wireless charging. Under the hood, the foldable phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Additional features revealed by leaks include an x-axis linear motor and support for satellite communication.
Nothing definitive is known about the Magic Vs3 yet. Speculation suggests that it might be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and could be available in black, white, and green shades.
