Honor is gearing up to reveal the Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design during a launch event scheduled for December 23 at 2:00 PM. Before the big reveal, the smartphone has already appeared on Honor’s official website, available in two colors: Provence Purple and Agate Gray. It comes in two storage options: 16GB + 512GB and 24GB + 1TB.
Cutting-Edge Camera Technology
The company has announced that this device showcases the industry's first 100x AI super-telephoto camera. This innovative technology promises impressive clarity for both close-up and distant shots, thanks to a periscope telephoto lens that has a super-large f/1.88 aperture. Honor asserts that this setup effectively addresses low-light challenges, delivering high-quality resolution.
Enhanced Focus and Display
Additionally, the smartphone features the first dual electromagnetic focus motor in the industry, which ensures accuracy when capturing fast-moving subjects. Previous information indicated that the Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design will come with a 6.8-inch LTPO display, boasting a resolution of 2800×1280 pixels (1.5K). It will also include cutting-edge eye protection technologies such as 4320Hz PWM dimming and circular polarized light, aimed at minimizing eye strain.
Impressive Camera Specs
Rumors suggest that the main camera configuration will include a 200MP sensor with a size of 1/1.4″ and 3x optical zoom capabilities. More specifics should come to light as the launch approaches. Its predecessor, the Honor Magic 6 RSR Porsche Design, was launched in March 2024, featuring a 6.80-inch FHD+ OLED screen that could reach a peak brightness of 5,000 nits.
The previous model also had a triple rear camera arrangement that featured a 50MP wide-angle sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a variable aperture (ranging from f/1.4 to f/2.0), a 180MP periscope telephoto lens capable of up to 100x zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens that supports 4K video recording. Its battery capacity was 5600mAh, with charging options including 80W wired, 66W wireless, and reverse wireless charging.
