Honor has launched the Magic7 RSR, outpacing high-end smartphones like the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in China today (December 23, 2024).
Display and Performance
This new device features a stunning 6.8-inch 1.5K 120Hz OLED screen, powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, just like the 7 Pro variant. The display is protected by Honor's proprietary Giant Rhino Glass for added durability.
Camera Features
While both the Magic7 RSR and the 7 Pro share advanced rear cameras, the RSR upgrades to a remarkable 200MP 3x optical periscope zoom camera with an f-stop of 1.88, improving low-light performance compared to the 2.6 of its predecessor.
Battery and Pricing
Additionally, the RSR is equipped with a substantial 5,850mAh silicon-carbon battery and runs on the newest AI-enhanced MagicOS 9.0, which is based on Android 15. The pricing for the Magic7 RSR starts at 7,999 yuan (~$1,096) for the model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. If you prefer a high-end configuration with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, it will cost you 8,999 yuan (~$1,233). Both versions come in elegant colors like Porsche-derived Provence Purple or Agate Gray. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is currently priced at $949.99 on Amazon.
