Honor and Xiaomi are the first companies to showcase their smartphones, tablets, and other devices ahead of MWC 2026. Just yesterday, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and the Leica Leitzphone, along with two new tablets aimed at international customers. Global Unveiling of the Magic V6
In a surprising turn, Honor has chosen to launch its new foldable smartphone worldwide before its release in China. However, this unveiling does not clarify when the Magic V6 will actually hit the market. For reference, Xiaomi is already offering the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and Leica Leitzphone globally, competing against Samsung’s latest models, including the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra (currently priced at $1,299 on Amazon).
Market Timing and Competition
Unlike the expected summer or early autumn launch dates for the Galaxy Z Fold8, Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and iPhone Fold, it appears Honor is aiming to occupy this market gap with the Magic V6 before Oppo releases the Find N6 later this month. Honor has confirmed that the Magic V6 will be available in China this month as well.
Unfortunately, Honor has also stated that the Magic V6 will not be available worldwide until the latter half of the year. In essence, even though the device was presented today in Barcelona, there are no plans for a global release until July. Therefore, the pricing for the Magic V6 internationally is still not known.
