Vivo has officially announced the launch date for its highly anticipated X100 series of flagship smartphones in India. The launch event is scheduled for January 4, 2024, at 12 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). This news was shared by the company through its social media handles.

Malaysia to Receive X100 Series First

Prior to the India launch, the Vivo X100 series will make its debut in Malaysia on January 3rd. This makes Malaysia the first market outside of China to receive the smartphones. With the phones already launched in China, we have a good understanding of their specifications and features.

Impressive Display and Camera Features

Both the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro come with a stunning 6.78-inch curved OLED display. The display offers a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera housed in a punch-hole cutout.

Powerful Performance and Software

Under the hood, the X100 series smartphones are powered by a Dimensity 9300 chip. They also feature LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Out of the box, the phones run on Android 14.

Differentiating Factors: Camera and Battery

The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro differ mainly in terms of their camera and battery specifications. The standard X100 model is equipped with a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 150° field of view (FOV), and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with OIS. The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

On the other hand, the X100 Pro takes things a step further. It features a larger 1-inch 50-megapixel main sensor, a customized 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and the same 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Additionally, it is equipped with Vivo's V3 chip for enhanced imaging capabilities. The X100 Pro is powered by a slightly larger 5,400mAh battery and supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Additional Features and Connectivity Options

Both the X100 and X100 Pro come with an IP68 rating, providing protection against dust and water. They also offer support for WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C (USB 3.2), NFC, an IR blaster, and an X-axis linear motor.
