Google Pixel 9 Series to be Sold via Reliance Digital

Google’s Pixel 9 series will make its global debut tomorrow, with India set to follow on August 14. Initially, reports suggested that only the Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold would be launched in India. However, Google’s official website now confirms that the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold will also be available. The entire series will be purchasable on Flipkart, Reliance Digital, and Croma.

Key details about the Pixel 9 Pro XL have recently surfaced. According to the report, the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL will boast a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2992 x 1344 pixels and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It will be powered by the Tensor G4 chip and M2 security chip, with 16 GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB. The device will run Android 14 and is expected to receive an upgrade to Android 15 shortly after launch.

In terms of cameras, the Pixel 9 Pro XL will feature a 42 MP front camera and a triple rear camera setup including a 50 MP primary sensor, a 48 MP ultrawide lens, and a 48 MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. The phone is expected to come with a 5,060mAh battery supporting 45W wired and wireless charging.

Additional features include the Gemini AI, which offers smart tools such as Pixel Studio for image creation, an AI-powered Weather App, a Reimagine feature for photo editing, and Screenshot Search. Rumored prices are $1,099 for the 128 GB model and $1,199 for the 256 GB model, with a free storage upgrade to 512 GB for pre-orders of the 256 GB variant.
