OnePlus Ace 3 Launch Date and Color Variants Announced
OnePlus has officially announced the launch date for its upcoming device, the OnePlus Ace 3. The brand will be hosting a launch event in China on January 4 at 2:30 pm (local time). In anticipation of the event, the company has also released a couple of posters showcasing the color variants of the Ace 3. Additionally, the device has already made an appearance on the Geekbench benchmarking platform prior to its official announcement.
Color Variants
The OnePlus Ace 3 will be available in three different colors: Star Black, Moon Sea Blue, and Sand Gold. It has been confirmed that the device will also be released in the global market on January 23, under the name OnePlus 12R. However, while the black and blue editions of the 12R will be available to the global audience, the gold variant will not be released.
Geekbench Performance
Before its official announcement, the OnePlus Ace 3 underwent performance testing on Geekbench. According to the listing on NashvilleChatterClass, the device, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, achieved a single-core score of 1559 and a multi-core score of 5044. The listing further reveals that the device boasts 16 GB of RAM and runs on Android 14.
Rumored Specifications
Reports suggest that the OnePlus Ace 3 will feature a 6.78-inch curved-edge OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For photography enthusiasts, the device will offer a 16-megapixel front camera and a triple camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor (Sony IMX890 with OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
Under the hood, the Ace 3 is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging support. It is rumored to come in different configurations, including 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage. Other notable features of the device may include an IR blaster, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and ColorOS 14-based Android 14.
