G-Shock x Barbie Limited-Edition Watch Collaboration

The publication Great G-Shock World recently shared news that Casio is planning to launch a new G-Shock watch themed around Barbie in February. This model, known as GMA-S110BE, GMA-S110BE-4A, or GMA-S110BE-4AJR, is inspired by the well-liked GMA-S110 series and is expected to be a limited release. Jebsen, a certified Casio seller in Hong Kong, has verified the lineup’s existence and suggested a timeline for when it might be available.

Registration and Pricing Details

According to a promotional page, interested buyers can sign up for a chance to buy the watch starting February 10th, with shipping likely beginning on February 24th. The watch is available for HK1,580 (US$204) in Hong Kong. It’s still uncertain whether it will be sold in other markets and how much it will cost there.

Design and Features

Regarding the watch’s design, the GMA-S110BE-4A is predominantly pink, showcasing various shades on the face, case, and strap. It features Barbie branding, along with a heart-shaped detail on the speed indicator dial, which aligns perfectly with the whimsical essence of the Barbie brand.

The GMA-S110BE is a hybrid digital-analog watch, supporting 29 time zones and featuring an automatic calendar that goes up to 2099. It also comes with a stopwatch, countdown timer, and five alarms. The watch operates on a CR1220 battery, which has a lifespan of about two years.

New Additions in Urban Utility Lineup

In related news, Casio Japan has unveiled two additional G-Shock models, GD-010CE-5JF and GA-010CE-2AJF, as part of its Urban Utility collection. Components like the case and bezel of these watches are made from biomass plastic, while the straps utilize recycled materials. The bands are colored using a method that converts food waste into natural dyes, with the GA-010CE featuring red turnip dye and the GD-010CE colored with echinacea dye.
