Motorola introduced the ThinkPhone to the business sector last year, leveraging the well-known ThinkPad brand from Lenovo. While aimed at enterprises, this device also serves as a solid option for general users. Recent reports indicate that the Motorola ThinkPhone 2025 is on its way.
Design Changes
The leaked images suggest that the new phone features flat edges and a revamped camera layout, resembling the latest Edge series models. Notably, the bezels appear to be narrower than those on the original ThinkPhone. The back of the device retains the textured finish seen in its predecessor.
Specifications of the ThinkPhone 2025
As per the report, the ThinkPhone 2025 is equipped with a 6.36″ LTPO pOLED display, making it slightly smaller than the original 6.6″ screen. The dimensions of the new model are 154.1 x 71.2 x 8.1mm, with a weight of 171g. It also features an improved display resolution of 2670 x 1200 (460ppi), compared to the FHD+ resolution (399 ppi) of the first ThinkPhone.
In terms of performance, the ThinkPhone 2025 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, coupled with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Unlike the first version, this new model will be available in only one RAM/storage configuration.
Battery and Camera Improvements
The device is equipped with a 4310mAh battery, supporting 68W fast charging. This battery size is similar to that of the Moto Edge 50 Pro released this year. Though the ThinkPhone 2025 has a smaller battery compared to its predecessor, it features an enhanced camera setup. The new model replaces the 2 MP depth camera with a 10MP 3x telephoto lens. It also includes a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera, which were present in the first model. The flat front design helps minimize accidental touches while offering improvements in both design and camera technology, akin to the Motorola Edge 50 series.
