Galaxy S25 Ultra Leaks: Slimmer Profile, Rounded Corners Revealed

Samsung has been grabbing headlines with its upcoming foldable devices and wearables, but its next S-series flagship is also drawing attention.

A well-known leaker, Ice Universe, recently shared intriguing information on the Chinese social media platform Weibo regarding the anticipated S25 Ultra. According to this source, the next flagship will see a design change, being slimmer than its predecessor. The S25 Ultra is expected to be 8.4mm thick, compared to the S24 Ultra’s 8.6mm.

Camera Capabilities

Despite the slight reduction in thickness, Samsung isn’t sacrificing camera quality. While concrete details remain undisclosed, rumors suggest the S25 Ultra will boast a 200MP main camera, along with 50MP ultrawide, 50MP 3x telephoto, and 50MP 5x telephoto lenses.

In another post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Ice Universe provided additional insights into the design. The S25 Ultra will reportedly be more comfortable to hold, moving away from the sharp corners of the S24 Ultra and adopting a rounded design similar to the S23 Ultra and S22 Ultra.

Potential Chipset Changes

Another rumor from earlier this week hints that Samsung might incorporate MediaTek chips into the S25 series for the first time. If true, this would bring the total number of SoCs for the S-series flagship to three, including those from Qualcomm and Samsung’s own Exynos chips. The Red Magic 9S Pro is set to launch on July 3 in China. Prior to its release, a Nubia phone identified as NX769S_V2A has been spotted on AnTuTu. This variant is expected to be marketed as the Red Magic 9S Pro+. It is likely that other versions of the phone will be branded as the Red Magic 9S Pro. Xiaomi MIX 5: Under-Display Camera & Unibody Ceramic Design

Earlier this year, the Xiaomi MIX 5 was identified in the IMEI database, with official confirmation that it won’t be released in 2024. Nonetheless, leaks about this smartphone continue to surface. Digital Chat Station reveals that the Xiaomi MIX 5 will feature an under-display camera and a unibody ceramic design. It is already known that the device will incorporate an under-display camera.

Xiaomi MIX 5 is Coming

A prototype, believed to be the Xiaomi MIX 5, appeared on Geekbench 6. This prototype was codenamed “Suiren” and was powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. A flagship MIX series device slated for a 2025 release is unlikely to launch with the previous year’s flagship SOC. Initial prototypes probably used Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
