Brands such as Samsung, Motorola, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, and Honor have already introduced flip-style foldable phones in China. However, Xiaomi was the only mainstream brand that hadn't released one until now. Today, Xiaomi confirmed via a poster that the Xiaomi Mix Flip, a flip-style foldable phone, will launch on July 19 in the Chinese market. Alongside the Mix Flip, Xiaomi will also unveil other products like the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, the Redmi K70 Ultra, the Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport, the Xiaomi Smart Band 9, and the Xiaomi Buds 5. The poster not only confirms the launch date but also reveals the design and key specifications of the Mix Flip.
Xiaomi Mix Flip Design
The Xiaomi Mix Flip will be available in three colors: black, white, and purple. The purple variant appears to feature a dual-tone finish on its lower section.
The upper half of the Xiaomi Mix Flip’s back panel is taken up by the cover display, which includes two cutouts for the vertically aligned dual-camera setup. The cover screen can be divided into two sections using software, allowing the area below the dual-camera setup to show notifications while the remaining area displays the wallpaper.
The top edge of the phone has two holes, likely for the microphone and an IR blaster. Conversely, the bottom edge includes a SIM slot, a USB-C port, a microphone, and a speaker. The left side of the device is empty, whereas the right side houses a volume rocker and a power key.
Xiaomi Mix Flip Key Specifications
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Mix Flip will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage. It will include a 3D vapor chamber cooling unit for heat dissipation and a large 4,780mAh battery. Additionally, it will boast Leica optics with a Summilux large aperture lens.
Other reports suggest that the Mix Flip will offer 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. The phone is expected to support 67W fast charging and will run on HyperOS-based Android 14.
