Xiaomi's Redmi brand is expanding its range of affordable smartphones with the introduction of the Redmi 14C. Scheduled to launch in Vietnam on August 31st, the phone's specifications have already been leaked by a Vietnamese retailer.
Redmi's Latest Design
Typically, Redmi introduces a new design with each series, and the Redmi 14C follows this trend. The phone features a prominent circular camera module on the back, a departure from its predecessor’s style. Its design seems closer to that of the recently released Oppo F27 5G in India.
The Blue version of the 14C boasts a striking gradient finish, lending it a more upscale appearance. However, it's important to remember that this remains a budget-friendly option.
Camera and Color Options
The camera module comprises four rings. One contains a 50-megapixel primary sensor, another likely includes a secondary sensor for depth data, and a third holds the LED flash. The fourth ring serves a decorative purpose.
In addition to the Blue variant, the Redmi 14C will also be offered in Green with a vegan leather finish and a simple Black version.
Display and Battery Specifications
On the front, the phone sports a sizable 6.88-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a hefty 5,160mAh battery, although fast charging is capped at 18W. For security, the device features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Processor and Storage Details
While the retailer listing doesn't specify the phone's processor, speculation points to the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra. Confirmed storage options include versions with either 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Pricing remains undisclosed, but it's anticipated that the Redmi 14C will be a cost-effective choice. We will need to wait until the official release on August 31st to verify the pricing details.
