    In past announcements, LG had been rather vague about the technical specifications of the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA. Their latest update seems to confirm that this model utilizes the same WOLED panel as the previous year’s UltraGear OLED 39GS95QE (currently priced at $996.99 on Amazon). While LG hasn’t openly stated this, both monitors share key features such as an 800R curvature, a 21:9 aspect ratio, a resolution of 1440p, and a refresh rate of 240 Hz.

    Color and Performance Features

    Moreover, the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA achieves 98.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, along with VESA ClearMR 13000 and DisplayHDR True Black 400 certifications. It also features a rapid 0.03 ms GtG response time, similar to the UltraGear OLED 39GS95QE. From what we can observe, the primary hardware distinctions between these two monitors include an added DisplayPort 1.4 port and a USB Type-C port that offers 65 W Power Delivery.

    Software and Availability

    In addition, LG plans to pre-install webOS, enabling the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA to access streaming platforms like Nvidia GeForce Now.     The new 8.8-inch gaming device still has a starting price of $899, which includes an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U, along with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. On the higher end, the OneXPlayer G1 can be equipped with a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU, 64 GB of RAM, and a massive 4 TB SSD. For context, all available models come with additional hardware as well:

    Price Drop for Higher Specs

    One-Netbook has significantly lowered the entry price for the model that features a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 along with 64 GB of RAM, which used to cost $1,539 before import taxes. It’s worth mentioning that all OneXPlayer G1 units come with an M.2 2280 slot, allowing users to upgrade to a larger SSD in the future.

    Alternatively, you can choose the same memory specs paired with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H for $80 less, bringing the price down to $1,319. The Core Ultra 7 255H remains a bit of a mystery at this juncture. Its Arc 140T iGPU might actually exceed the performance of the Radeon 890M found in the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. We suggest holding off until independent reviews emerge to form an opinion on Intel’s mobile Arrow Lake-H architecture.     We have some preliminary insights into how the GeForce RTX 5090 performs in Cyberpunk 2077, both with and without DLSS 4 and MFG. However, analyzing just one game does not provide a complete picture. Thanks to discussions on Chiphell’s forums, a reviewer has managed to test the RTX 5090D, which is a variant tailored for the Chinese market, and has shared key details from their review. For those unfamiliar, the RTX 5090D is like the standard RTX 5090, but has lower AI TOPS and a 3-second limit for AI and crypto workloads.

    Modest Gains

    The reviewer found that the performance boost with this generation is, as expected, quite modest. With DLSS and ray tracing disabled, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090D outperformed the previous model by about 20%. While this isn’t terrible for a new generation, many in the gaming community anticipated a more significant improvement. However, when DLSS 4 and MFG were set to their highest settings, the reviewer reported that the RTX 5090D performed nearly as well as Nvidia had claimed.

    Overclocking Details

    Additionally, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090D appears to lack adjustable power limits. While there could be possibilities for such adjustments in the future, they seem slim. The reviewer also managed to overclock the card to 2600 MHz, while reducing the memory speed, leading to a memory bandwidth of 896 GB/s that effectively negated the advantages of GDDR7. In comparison, the RTX 4090 was overclocked to about 2610 MHz with a memory bandwidth of 912 GB/s. The testing setup featured a Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU with memory running at 6000 MHz.     Backward Compatibility
