  • Asus Teases New ROG NUC Gaming Mini PC Release

Asus Teases New ROG NUC Gaming Mini PC Release

    Key Takeaway

    – Asus will unveil a ROG NUC refresh mini PC (alongside other ROG products) at the May 15, 2026 launch in China.
    – The refreshed NUC reportedly uses a simplified cradle-style stand and features more prominent branding.
    – Hardware changes are not confirmed, but a modest processor upgrade (potential Core Ultra 200HX Plus) could bring up to ~8% performance gains over the 2025 model.
    – Top-end configurations may include the Nvidia RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, surpassing the 2025 RTX 5080 option.
    – The teasers also hint at a new, undisclosed product type under the ROG branding beyond the mini PC.

Asus has officially teased a major launch event scheduled for May 15, 2026, in China. The set of teaser images has hinted at the products the company will showcase at the event, which include a mini PC. This appears to be the same ROG NUC refresh that was spotted earlier in May.

    Launch tease

While Asus just gave a glimpse of the gaming mini PC, it highlights the simplified stand, which cradles the system instead of being a screw-on fit. It’s still unclear how much of a hardware change the new ROG NUC will see compared to the 2025 model, which did relatively well in our in-depth review.

    Design and stand

However, Asus will likely offer a slight upgrade in the processor department, possibly offering the recently released Core Ultra 200HX Plus series CPUs. In that case, the performance bump would be up to 8% when compared to the 2025 Asus ROG NUC 15.

    Processor upgrade

As for the GPU options, Asus could offer the Nvidia RTX 5090 Laptop GPU in the top-end configuration. However, it’s worth noting that the 2025 ROG NUC 15 maxed out at RTX 5080 Laptop GPU (curr. $3,399 on Aamzon).

    GPU options

The previously leaked render of the refreshed mini PC also showed that it would have more prominent branding on the chassis than the last-gen offerings. Besides this new ROG NUC, the company is teasing a couple of other products, and one of the teaser images is hinting that there will be a new type of product under the ROG branding. The good part is that the launch event is around the corner, so the wait isn’t long.

  • Dyson Purifier Cool with AI Camera Beats Hot Indoor Air

Dyson Purifier Cool with AI Camera Beats Hot Indoor Air

    Key Takeaway

    – Find+Follow: camera + AI tracks people and automatically directs airflow toward them, widening the sweep for multiple occupants.
    – On-device privacy: images analyzed in the fan and deleted—no data uploaded to servers.
    – Purification and display: removes odors, VOCs, NO2, and 0.3 μm particles; round display shows air quality; night mode dims display and reduces volume by 50%.
    – Convenience and pricing: controllable via MyDyson app; no heating/cooling elements; cooling airflow; $894.99 in the US; available today.

Powerful air purifiers and fans without blades have been part of Dyson’s product portfolio for years. The latest model introduces one innovative new feature in particular: a camera. This is combined with artificial intelligence to track the movement of people in the room.

    Find+Follow camera tech

    Camera and AI combined

This enables a feature that Dyson calls “Find+Follow”, which can automatically direct the fan’s airflow towards the user, regardless of where they are in the room. If there are several people, the settings are automatically adjusted so that a wider airflow is generated, which should benefit as many people in the same room as possible. According to Dyson, the images from the camera are analyzed directly in the fan and then deleted without ever being uploaded to a server

How it works in real life

The Dyson Find+Follow Purifier Cool is designed to remove unpleasant odors, VOCs, nitrogen dioxide and particles as small as 0.3 micron from indoor air. The room air is analyzed continuously and a round display on the front shows stats about the air quality. In night mode, this display is dimmed, while the volume is reduced by 50 percent. The fan can be controlled remotely via the MyDyson smartphone app. Dyson doesn’t install heating or cooling elements, but the powerful airflow should still have a cooling effect on hot summer days.

    Availability and price

The Dyson Find+Follow Purifier Cool is available in the US starting today for $894.99.

  • ZSA Voyager: Low-Profile Mechanical Keyboard with Multi-Touch Pad

ZSA Voyager: Low-Profile Mechanical Keyboard with Multi-Touch Pad

    Key Takeaway

    – Magnetic Navigator Trackpad for ZSA Voyager (and Moonlander) with left/right-handed options; $99 (or $89 without the magnet) and can attach alongside the Navigator Trackball.
    – Offers multi-touch gestures with OS-level support on Windows and Linux; MacOS requires a background app; gestures limited to two-finger swipes.
    – Lacks full Oryx configurator customization (no layer-switching or mouse-layer mapping) but remains compatible with community shells/mods thanks to the magnetic shell.
    – Includes all cables (two braided TRRS), carrying case, and magnetic shell; positioned as a premium, enthusiast accessory despite higher price vs some split keyboards.

While we didn’t touch on it much in our review of the ergonomic, low-profile ZSA Voyager mechanical keyboard, the ZSA Navigator trackball was one of the highlights of that keyboard. The navigator gives you a convenient way to use GUI-based programs without removing your hands from the keyboard and reaching for a mouse — a reach that can negatively impact posture and ergonomics. Now, ZSA has officially launched the Navigator Trackpad accessory for the Voyager and Moonlander mechanical keyboards, and although the hardware is based on the same Cirque designs as can be found in the likes of the MoErgo Go60 (which we are in the process of testing) ZSA has put in a lot of work to make the Navigator Trackpad unique.

    Launch and purpose

The ZSA Navigator Trackpad is available from the ZSA online shop for $99 — or $89 without the magnetic attachment — in both black and white and for both left- and right-handed attachment to the ZSA Voyager keyboard. While this does make it more expensive than even some standalone split mechanical keyboards, like the highly affordable Yivu Corne V4, priced at $89.99, the Navigator Trackpad has a lot going for it for enthusiast buyers.

    Attachment and practicality

The Navigator Trackpad magnetically attaches to the Voyager keyboard using the same plastic shell as its trackball equivalent, making it possible to have both the trackball and trackpad attached to the Voyager at the same time. This may seem silly, but having a mouse input on each hand means you can do things like assign one side to mouse navigation and the other exclusively to, for example, scrolling, or panning in specific apps.

    Gestures and OS support

The Navigator Trackpad is hardly the first trackpad to come on an ergonomic mechanical keyboard — one can be found on the Naya Create and Beekeeb Toucan as well as on the MoErgo Go60 we’re in the process of reviewing. What sets the ZSA’s touchpad apart, though, is that it features multi-touch gesture support with integration for OS-level customisation on both Linux and Windows. MacOS will require running a background app to enable gesture support, but once that is running, it also supports full multi-touch gestures. The multi-touch gestures are limited to two-finger swipes, however, so that’s a limitation to be aware of, although it’s also more than likely most people won’t be able to comfortably put more than two fingers on the small tracking surface.

    Configurator limitations

The trackpad doesn’t offer the same level of customisation in ZSA’s Oryx configurator as the trackball, such as switching functions with layer keys, using keyboard keys to emulate mouse clicks, or having the trackpad switch to a specific mouse layer when used, because ZSA says that these features are not necessary thanks to the touchpad gestures. Since the Navigator Trackpad uses the same magnetic shell as the trackball, it is fully compatible with the ecosystem of community-designed shells and mods, which offer different mounting locations and carrying cases.

    Cables and extras

Like the Navigator Trackball, the trackpad comes with all the cables needed to connect the accessory to whichever ZSA keyboard it will be connected to, including two braided TRRS cables, a purpose-built carrying case, and the magnetic shell.

  • GTA 6 pre-order leak: Emails tie to affiliate platform, May 18

GTA 6 pre-order leak: Emails tie to affiliate platform, May 18

    Key Takeaway

    – Insider Gaming independently verified the leaked Best Buy affiliate email from Impact for “GTA 6 Pre Order (Physical Game)” (May 18–21) with a 5% affiliate commission; corroborated by two separate affiliates.
    – If legitimate, the pre-order window would be five months before the Nov 19, 2026 release and aligns with Take-Two’s May 21 earnings call; potential trailer 3 could debut around the campaign.
    – Email lacks MSRP; price estimates hover around $70–$100, while the market reacted with Take-Two stock rising about 5% (+$2B in value) on the rumor.
    – No official confirmation from Take-Two/Rockstar yet; the leak is corroborated but remains unconfirmed.

The GTA 6 Best Buy pre-order story just got a lot harder to dissmiss. Insider Gaming has independently verified the leaked affiliate email by having two separate affiliates forward it directly, which confirms that the emails originate from Impact – one of the largest affiliate partner marketplaces in the industry, used by major retailers including Best Buy. Anyone signed up for Best Buy’s affiliate program through Impact may have received the same email from [email protected].

    Affiliate Source and Verification

The campaign, which is titled “GTA 6 Pre Order (Physical Game),” runs from May 18 to May 21 and offers affiliates a 5% commission on physical copy sales. The leak was originally brought to light by YouTuber Frogboyx1Gaming during a live stream. The Australian creator TGG was among the first to corroborate it. Now with Insider Gaming’s verification, which is backed by traceable infrastructure rather than the testimony of creators, the leak appears to carry way more weight than before.

    Campaign Outline & First Corroborations

If the May 18 pre-order date is actually on point, it would land exactly five months before GTA 6’s confirmed November 19, 2026 release date on PS5 (curr. $595) and Xbox Series X|S. What this should do is effectively rule out fears of another delay. Furthermore, the timing also lines up with Take-Two Interactive’s earnings call on May 21 – the same day the rumored affiliate campaign ends. As we mentioned in our past coverage, there are widespread speculations that trailer number 3 (which would be the first major Rockstar footage in over a year) could drop alongside the official pre-order announcement to close out the campaign window. Meanwhile, trailer 2 has already crossed 160 million YouTube views.

No MSRP shows up in the email, however. Price estimates still range from $70 to $100. Simultaneously, Insider Gaming’s new report indicates that the market has already made its feelings pretty clear: Take-Two Interactive’s stock jumped nearly 5% on Thursday alone – up $10.79 per share to $237.78 – adding close to $2 billion in market value within hours of the pre-order rumors. Neither Take-Two nor Rockstar has officially confirmed anything yet.

  • Xiaomi Unveils International Launch for Sub-Flagship Phone

Xiaomi Unveils International Launch for Sub-Flagship Phone

    Key Takeaway

    – Xiaomi confirms an international release for the Redmi Turbo 5 series, with the Poco X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max serving as global variants.
    – India is the planned launch focus for the Redmi Turbo 5, but no official date has been announced; Turbo 5 Max India availability is unclear.
    – Amazon India has a dedicated landing page and other retailers may stock Redmi Turbo 5 before June, suggesting early India availability.
    – Xiaomi signals a limited rollout for now, with the Poco X8 Pro review offering a preview of Redmi Turbo 5’s performance in India.

A few months later, Xiaomi rolled out the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max. Announced in China, the pair stay exclusive to Xiaomi’s home market. Yet the Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max, curr. $499, appeared a few months after as global versions of the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max, respectively.

    Global rollout hints

Nonetheless, Xiaomi has now announced that it will be offering the Redmi Turbo 5 series internationally after all. For the time being, the company has not confirmed when it will begin selling new Redmi Turbo smartphones in India. A landing page exists at major online retailers, so stocking could start before June.

    International rollout

Currently, Xiaomi has only revealed plans to launch the Redmi Turbo 5 in India. There is no reason why the company could not offer the Redmi Turbo 5 Max simultaneously, though. From Xiaomi’s other social media channels, it seems that the Redmi Turbo 5 series will not be offered anywhere else for now. In the meantime, please see our Poco X8 Pro review for an insight into how the Redmi Turbo 5 will shape up before it arrives in India.

    India first strategy

Availability appears likely to begin in India first, with a broader rollout to follow. The Redmi Turbo 5 series will keep the same names, with possible tweaks as the global move continues.

  • Foxconn ransomware attack: Apple and NVIDIA data stolen

Foxconn ransomware attack: Apple and NVIDIA data stolen

    Key Takeaway

    – Nitrogen ransomware claims 8TB/11M stolen files and hit Foxconn’s Mount Pleasant, WI, and Houston, TX facilities; production is resuming.
    – Alleged stolen data include confidential instructions, internal project docs, circuit layouts tied to Apple, Nvidia, Intel, Google, Dell, and AMD; Foxconn has not confirmed data theft.
    – Nitrogen operates a double-extortion model (encrypts data and threatens public release); a programming error in Nitrogen’s ESXi encryptor could render data unrecoverable even if ransom is paid.
    – This marks Foxconn’s third major ransomware incident in recent years (DoppelPaymer 2020; LockBit 2022/2024), highlighting the risk to large, multi-site manufacturers.

Foxconn has confirmed a ransomware attack on several North American factories after the Nitrogen ransomware group claimed on May 11 to have stolen 8TB of data comprising more than 11 million files. The attack affected facilities in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, and Houston, Texas, forcing some employees to fall back on pen and paper and sending others home until network access was restored.

    Ransomware claim and immediate impact

“The cybersecurity team immediately activated the response mechanism and implemented multiple operational measures to ensure the continuity of production and delivery,” a Foxconn spokesperson told BleepingComputer. “The affected factories are currently resuming normal production.”

    Company scale and customer base

Foxconn is the world’s largest contract electronics manufacturer, with over 900,000 employees across 240 facilities in 24 countries and reported revenues above $260 billion in 2025. Its customer list reads like a who’s who of the tech industry: Apple, Nvidia, Intel, Google, Dell, AMD, Microsoft, and Sony all rely on it for hardware production.

    • Apple
    • Nvidia
    • Intel
    • Google
    • Dell
    • AMD
    • Microsoft
    • Sony

    Stolen data and Nitrogen group

That customer list is exactly what Nitrogen is using as leverage. The group claims the stolen files contain confidential instructions, internal project documentation, circuit board layouts, and technical drawings tied to projects at Apple, Nvidia, Intel, Google, Dell, and AMD. Sample files have been posted on Nitrogen’s dark web leak site. Foxconn has not confirmed whether customer data was actually taken and declined to answer specific questions on the subject.

    Ransomware mechanics and risk

Nitrogen has been active since 2023 and operates as a double-extortion group: it encrypts victim files and simultaneously threatens to publish stolen data unless a ransom is paid. The group is believed to be built on code from the leaked Conti 2 ransomware builder and is suspected of having links to the ALPHV/BlackCat ecosystem. There is a significant problem with paying the ransom, however.

Coveware warning and data loss risk

In February 2026, Coveware researchers published a warning that a programming error in Nitrogen’s ESXi encryptor causes it to encrypt all files with the wrong public key, making file recovery impossible even if the victim pays. This means Foxconn faces the prospect of losing access to encrypted data permanently, regardless of what it decides to do with the ransom demand.

    Past incidents and pattern

Nitrogen made its name targeting companies in construction, financial services, manufacturing, and technology. Foxconn is its highest-profile victim to date. The Mount Pleasant facility primarily produces televisions and data servers rather than Apple consumer devices, which may limit the impact on Apple-specific product development. However, the Houston facility’s product scope has not been detailed publicly. This is at least the third major ransomware attack on Foxconn facilities in recent years. In December 2020, the DoppelPaymer group hit its Ciudad Juárez facility in Mexico, encrypting up to 1,400 servers, destroying 20 to 30TB of backups, and demanding $34 million in bitcoin. In 2022 and 2024, LockBit targeted Foxconn subsidiary Foxsemicon Integrated Technology.

  • Honor Watch 6 Plus with long battery life and Heart Guard Plus

Honor Watch 6 Plus with long battery life and Heart Guard Plus

    Key Takeaway

    – It features a round display with a printed bezel, metal body, and a right-side digital crown; design reminiscent of the Huawei Watch GT 6.
    – A 1,000 mAh battery promises up to 35 days of use on a single charge, significantly larger than many rivals.
    – Offers 120 sports modes, including professional tracking options.
    – Includes Heart Guard Plus to assess risk of high blood pressure and heart attacks, though not a medical substitute.
    – Reservations are open in China, with launch likely in the next few days; pricing and global availability not confirmed.

The Honor Watch 6 Plus was first seen in teaser images back in April. In the meantime, Honor has published numerous other images on the Chinese social network Weibo which show the smartwatch in silver, black and silver with blue color accents. The design is somewhat reminiscent of the Huawei Watch GT 6, as Honor also features a round display with a printed bezel, a metal body and a digital crown on the right-hand side.

    Design and visuals

The most unique feature of the Honor Watch 6 Plus is the battery, which has a capacity of 1,000 mAh, making it significantly larger than most of its competitors. For comparison: the Apple Watch Ultra 3 costs $779 and has a 599 mAh battery, the larger 44 millimeter version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 uses a 445 mAh battery, and even the new Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra makes do with a 780 mAh battery.

    Battery life and features

According to Honor, this giant battery enables the smartwatch to be used for 35 days before it has to be recharged. Apart from the battery, Honor advertises two features in particular. Firstly, a total of 120 sports modes, including “professional” tracking options. And secondly, a feature called “Heart Guard Plus”, which is designed to determine the risk of high blood pressure and heart attacks, although, as usual, such functions cannot replace medical examinations. Honor has not yet confirmed when or at what price the Honor Watch 6 Plus will be launched on the market. However, now that reservations have been opened in China, the launch is likely to take place in the next few days.

  • Kindle Scribe without Front Light: release date revealed

Kindle Scribe without Front Light: release date revealed

    Key Takeaway

    – Release date for Kindle Scribe without Front Light: June 10, 2026 at 7:00 AM PT (Germany 9:00 AM CEST, UK 8:00 AM BST).
    – Amazon has also refreshed with Colorsoft (color E Ink) and Kindle Scribe (3rd generation) variants.
    – Pre-orders aren’t open yet; sign up for notifications and expect pre-orders to open shortly before release.
    – Price comparison: Kindle Scribe $429.99 / €449.99 / £389.99 vs reMarkable Paper Pure at $399 / €399 / £359.
    – The release date announcement follows reMarkable’s Paper Pure reveal, signaling increased market competition.

When the Kindle Scribe was refreshed last October, Amazon announced not one, but three models. It announced the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft which has a color E Ink display, the Kindle Scribe (3rd generation), and the Kindle Scribe without Front Light.

Three models now on the table

While the first two have been available to purchase for months, the Kindle Scribe without Front Light is still not available to buy yet. Thankfully, that wait will soon come to an end as Amazon has announced a release date for the new E Ink tablet.

    Release timing progress

The Amazon US listing for the Kindle Scribe without Front Light now has a small banner at the top of the page that says the item will be released on June 10, 2026 at 7 AM Pacific Time. For those in Germany and the UK, the release date is the same but the time is 9 AM CEST and 8 AM BST respectively.

    Release date specifics

Unfortunately, Amazon has not begun accepting pre-orders, but you can sign up to be notified when it becomes available. We expect that pre-orders will open shortly before the release date.

    Pre-orders status

Amazon’s decision to finally announce a release date for the Kindle Scribe without Front Light comes just a week after reMarkable announced its new ereader, the Paper Pure. The new reMarkable E Ink tablet is expected to challenge Amazon’s own device, and it already wins with its price which is lower at $399/€399/£359, compared to the Kindle Scribe which is $429.99/€449.99/£389.99. However, price is just one factor to consider when comparing products.
