  • Insta360 Go 3S: Retro Action Camera with Optical Viewfinder

Insta360 Go 3S: Retro Action Camera with Optical Viewfinder

    Key Takeaway

    – The Retro Bundle replaces the Action Pod with a top optical viewfinder for waist-height photos and selfies, powered by a separate battery pack (no built-in battery in the viewfinder).
    – Battery and runtime: the pack adds 393 mAh to the camera’s 310 mAh, giving about 38 minutes of video solo or 76 minutes with the pack.
    – Specs and features: 12 MP 1/2.3″ sensor, 4K at 30 fps, 1080p slow motion up to 200 fps, plus three retro filters and eleven color profiles; controlled via the Insta360 app.
    – Availability and contents: 64 GB for $299.99 or 128 GB for $319.99; includes camera, battery, NFC skin, retro viewfinder, cord, and magnetic pendant; does not include the Action Pod (unlike the standard bundle).

The regular Insta360 Go 3S ($319) is already one of the most unusual cameras on the market, as the manufacturer combines a tiny, 39 gram action camera with a pod that adds a larger battery and a fold-out display, making the camera look more like a GoPro.

    Overview

In the retro bundle, Insta360 not only gives the camera a retro look, but also replaces this Action Pod with a new base with an optical viewfinder. This viewfinder sits on the top so photos can be shot from waist height, just like with a classic TLR camera. Alternatively, the viewfinder can be flipped into a mirror for selfies.

    Viewfinder swap

Since this viewfinder, unlike the Action Pod, lacks an integrated battery, Insta360 included a battery pack that expands the camera’s built-in 310 mAh battery with a 393 mAh one. The camera can record 38 minutes of video on a single charge, or 76 minutes with the pack.

    Specs & Battery

Three retro filters and eleven color profiles are made to give photos and videos a retro vibe. You must use the Insta360 smartphone app to switch recording modes or tweak settings. The core features stay the same, so the Go 3S still uses a 12 MP sensor in a 1/2.3 inch format and can record 4K at 30fps and 1080p slow motion up to 200fps.

    Retro Bundle Pricing

The Go 3S Retro Bundle is now available at the Insta360 online store with either 64 GB for $299.99 or 128 GB for $319.99. In addition to the camera, the bundle includes a battery, an NFC skin, a retro viewfinder, a cord, and a magnetic pendant. The Action Pod with fold-out display, which is included in the cheaper standard bundle, is not included in the retro bundle.

  • New Xbox digital-only could appeal with one condition

New Xbox digital-only could appeal with one condition

    Key Takeaway

    – A codename “Positron” is rumored to be a disc-to-digital program that could convert physical Xbox games into digital licenses, making them permanently available digitally.

    – The next Xbox may not include a built-in disc drive, with options ranging from an external disc drive accessory to a fully digital-only approach.

    – These rumors mention codenames “Project Saluki” (Game Pass offers for China) and “Positron” appearing in Xbox Insider builds, but Microsoft has not confirmed any of it.

    – If digitization exists, it could be a one-time transfer but might still require external drive verification for playback, effectively moving the disc drive outside the console.

Just a few weeks back, Reddit chatter was buzzing about the next Xbox, codenamed Project Helix, and whether it would still bring a physical disc drive. A lot of folks want that option back, especially for preserving old game libraries or watching Blu-rays. Yet fresh rumors have gnawed away at those already slim hopes.

Rumor roundup: Helix, Saluki and Positron

According to a report from Microsoft insider Jez Corden at Windows Central, anonymous sources described two new Xbox codenames that later surfaced in current Xbox Insider builds. Beside “Project Saluki”, which is said to refer to new Game Pass offers for the Chinese market, the moniker “Positron” also appears. Corden believes this could point to a disc-to-digital program.

What Positron could mean for discs

Specifically, “Positron” could allow physical Xbox games to be converted into digital licenses. That would make disc-based games permanently available in the digital Xbox library. It would also suggest that the next Xbox may no longer need a built-in disc drive, while Microsoft could still give users a way to carry their existing disc collections into the digital Xbox ecosystem. Microsoft could take a similar route to Sony with the PS5 Slim and offer an external disc drive as a separate accessory. Another possibility is that games could be digitized through older consoles such as the Xbox Series X (priced at $648) or Xbox One. In a Reddit thread on the topic, disappointment over the possible loss of a disc drive appears limited. That is likely because Microsoft’s rumored solution sounds fairly promising for owners of physical games – provided it works the way fans hope.

If a one-time digitization process makes a game permanently available on the console, Positron could make the shift more convenient without reducing the value of physical games. However, the disc may still need to be verified through an external drive before each play session, even if the game itself then runs digitally. In practice, Microsoft would merely be moving the disc drive outside the console. At this point, all of this remains pure speculation, and Microsoft has officially confirmed neither the absence of a physical disc drive nor the rumored disc-to-digital program. Windows Central reports.

  • God of War Spinoff Hinted by Leaker Ahead of State of Play

God of War Spinoff Hinted by Leaker Ahead of State of Play

    Key Takeaway

    – Leaker elesnicho hints at a Faye-led God of War spinoff, possibly as the “one more thing” at the next State of Play.
    – Sony’s next State of Play is rumored for May 15; no official confirmation yet.
    – The Faye-spinoff rumor has persisted, with claims of Faye as lead and more action-heavy gameplay; Schreier says it could feel like a new IP within God of War.
    – Development is said to have been ongoing since the 2018 reboot under Cory Barlog; no denial or official Sony confirmation.

A leaker with a proven track record of getting PlayStation showcases right has all but confirmed a Faye-led God of War spinoff as a major upcoming announcement – and if the State of Play rumors are accurate, the reveal could be imminent.

    Rumors swirling and timing collide

Twitter/X account @elesnicho, who successfully leaked content from the last PlayStation showcase before it aired, posted just a few words earlier today: “Faye of War.” The post have accumulated over 20,000 impressions in under seven hours, and a thread on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours has since framed it as elesnicho hinting the game as the “one more thing” of the next State of Play – a surprize closer announcement.

Signals from a well known leaker

The timing itself matters because Sony’s next State of Play is currently rumored, via insider Detective Seeds, to take place on May 15 – tomorrow. Sony has not officially confirmed the event.

    Official word still pending

Furthermore, the Faye spinoff itself is not a new rumor. Multiple credible sources have been circling it for months. Insider NateTheHate was among the first to publicly claim that Santa Monica Studio is developing a new God of War entry starring Kratos’ late wife Faye as the lead protagonist. The gameplay was described as more action-heavy compared to the Norse-era titles. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier had also provided his two cents – he stated that it would feel like a new IP despite staying within the God of War universe.

    Descriptions contrasts and vibes

God of War director Cory Barlog has reportedly been working on this project since the 2018 reboot wrapped – that is nearly seven years of development. Barlog had publicly shown his frustration earlier this year after NateTheHate’s leak was spotted, though he did stop short of a direct denial.

    Consistency in the rumor mill

Elesnicho’s post adds even more weight to this particular wave of rumors. Regardless, everything is unconfirmed and should be taken with a grain of salt until Sony makes an official announcement. If the State of Play does air tomorrow, we won’t have to wait long.

  • Unitree 11-Foot Manned Mecha Robot Capabilities

Unitree 11-Foot Manned Mecha Robot Capabilities

    Key Takeaway

    – Unitree unveiled the 11-foot GD01 manned mecha prototype that can fall onto its back and continue moving on all fours, but the pilot seat doesn’t appear safe in horizontal positions.
    – Company calls it “production-ready” with a ~3.9M yuan (~$540k) price, yet the demo shows makeshift fixes (e.g., bicycle tire padding) and possible safety uncertainty (founder briefly enters, later replaced by a dummy).
    – Practical utility is unclear—existing machines (excavators, forklifts, loaders) already handle most transport/heavy-lift tasks more efficiently, and a manned cockpit seems unnecessary if remotely operated.
    – Generally viewed as a showpiece prototype rather than an immediately practical vehicle, though future development could yield specialized applications.

On May 12, Unitree presented the GD01 in a YouTube video – a roughly 11-foot-tall robotic colossus that looks as if it came straight out of a science-fiction film. Its construction resembles a humanoid robot with two arms and two legs, while the mech’s cage-like upper body provides space for a pilot. Its most unusual trick: if it is in danger of losing balance, it simply drops onto its back and continues moving on all fours. That could become uncomfortable for the pilot, however, as the seat shown in the video does not adjust to the robot’s horizontal position.

    Design notes

Unitree is already calling the GD01 a production-ready manned mecha. The starting price is said to be 3.9 million yuan, equivalent to roughly $540,000. A closer look at the demo video however suggests that the GD01 is unlikely to go on sale anytime soon. Parts of the robot’s metal frame appear to be padded with pieces of bicycle tire – hardly a solution that looks ready for series production. Unitree also does not yet seem entirely confident in the mech’s safety. At the beginning of the video, Unitree founder Wang Xingxing can be seen climbing into the robot himself, but in the later walking demonstration, the cockpit appears to be occupied by a dummy.

    Community reaction

On Reddit, users are asking what practical purpose the GD01 actually serves – and the answers so far are rather sobering. Unitree remains vague and only states that the mecha robot could be used as a civilian vehicle or transportation platform. Transport-related tasks seem like the most obvious application. In the video, the GD01 effortlessly knocks over a wall of stacked concrete blocks, suggesting that it is quite powerful. However, many Reddit users point out that more mature machines already exist for most transport jobs. Heavy stones can be moved with excavators and pallets with forklifts, while wheel loaders or other specialized vehicles are better suited for rough terrain.

    Use cases?

Reddit users also see little practical benefit in the manned design itself. If the GD01 is operated remotely or semi-autonomously, there would be no clear reason for a human to sit inside the cage. If it is meant to function as an actual vehicle, however, major safety questions remain. The robot would also be relatively slow as a means of transportation. Its four-legged mode could at least help it traverse difficult terrain. In the end, many see Unitree’s manned mecha robot more as a showpiece prototype than an immediately useful work machine. Still, it will be interesting to see how Unitree develops the concept further and whether the imposing mecha colossus could eventually become a genuinely practical specialized vehicle.

  • Realme Watch S5: Unusual Design, 20-Day Battery

Realme Watch S5: Unusual Design, 20-Day Battery

    Key Takeaway

    – Launch set for May 22; round “flat” case with pronounced buttons and 12-mark bezel
    – 1.43-inch AMOLED display (60 Hz, 1,500 nits) with Always‑On option; Realme claims up to 20 days battery (AOD will reduce this)
    – 5 ATM water resistance, 110 sports modes, and built‑in GPS for standalone tracking
    – Health tracking including heart rate, SpO2, stress, sleep, and menstrual-cycle monitoring
    – Integrated speaker/mic for voice assistant and calls via a paired phone; price not yet announced

A year after the launch of the rectangular Realme Watch 5, the smartphone manufacturer will soon be launching a round Realme Watch S5. Realme confirm on a teaser website that the new smartwatch will be officially unveiled on Friday, May 22. The watch has a very unusual design, as the round case has a flat exterior, the three buttons protrude relatively far out of the case and the bezel is printed with twelve markings.

    Design

Though the Realme Watch S5, like the older Realme Watch 5, is likely a relatively inexpensive smartwatch, Realme is pushing a wide range of features, led by a 1.43-inch AMOLED display that achieves a frame rate of 60 Hz and a brightness of 1,500 nits. The display supports an always-on mode, but if this is activated the advertised battery life of 20 days is unlikely to be achieved.

    Display & Battery

The smartwatch is waterproof up to a pressure of 5 ATM and can therefore also be worn while swimming. Realme advertises 110 sports modes. An integrated GPS module allows the distance covered while running or cycling to be recorded even without a smartphone.

    Fitness

The Realme Watch S5 has a heart rate and SpO2 sensor and can track stress, sleep and the menstrual cycle. With integrated speakers and microphones, the watch can use a voice assistant and make phone calls via a connected smartphone. Realme has not yet confirmed the price of the Realme Watch S5.

Neverness to Everness Phase 2 Launches Amid AI Controversy

    Key Takeaway

    – Phase 2 of Version 1.0 went live May 13 (runs through June 3) with a new limited S-class character Hotori, a new arc banner, and event content.
    – Scarborough Fair Limited Board features Hotori at rate-up; board upgrades at 70 rolls, guarantees at 90, and pity carries forward to future limited banners.
    – Bright Moon Special Arc Research Program boosts the S-rank arc Marching Beyond Time; Hourglass Perks adds outfit rewards tied to milestone pulls (Pink Paws Heist has ended).
    – Lacrimosa and Chaos (Chaos confirmed as a Lakshana user) have been teased for Version 1.1 with no banner dates yet.
    – Neverness to Everness is free-to-play on iOS/Android/PS5/PC; launch was overshadowed by an AI asset controversy that led to public backlash and partner departures.

Neverness to Everness has moved into Phase 2 of Version 1.0 following yesterday maintenance window, and Hotta Studio is pressing ahead despite the AI controversy that overshadowed the game’s global launch. The Phase 2 update went live on May 13 and brings a new limited S-class character, a new arc banner, and a fresh round of event content running through June 3.

    Phase 2 Rollout

Hotori is the featured character on the Misty Tipsy Style Limited Board, which runs from May 13 to June 3, 2026; the game’s gacha system operates via the Scarborough Fair, a board-game structure where players roll dice and move around to collect rewards. The Limited Board is the time-restricted equivalent of a standard banner and features Hotori at rate-up odds alongside A-class characters Haniel, Aurelia, and Skia. If players do not pull Hotori within 70 rolls, the board upgrades to a rate-up version.

    Banner Mechanics

The 90th roll guarantees her outright. Pity accumulated on the board carries forward to future limited banners rather than resetting, which is one of the more player friendly mechanics in the game’s gacha structure; players seems pleased by that, at least so far.

    Concurrent Events

The Bright Moon Special Arc Research Program runs alongside Hotori’s banner for the same window. It features the S-rank arc Marching Beyond Time at boosted rates. The Hourglass Perks event is also live, adding new outfit rewards tied to milestone pull counts on the Limited Board. The Pink Paws Heist event that ran through Phase 1 has now closed.

    Event Notes

Hotta Studio has already revealed two upcoming characters through drip marketing ahead of Version 1.1. Lacrimosa and Chaos are both confirmed, with Chaos identified as a Lakshana user. Neither has a confirmed banner date yet. Lacrimosa appeared briefly as a playable character during the game’s tutorial cutscene, suggesting she has been in development since before launch.

    Platforms & Coverage

Neverness to Everness is free to play on iOS, Android, PS5, and PC. Media coverage around the launch also focused on the AI debate that erupted in early May, when players flagged suspected AI-generated assets and VTuber Ironmouse publicly cut ties with Hotta Studio over the claims.

  • Garmin CIRQA Leak on Online Store Reveals High Price

Garmin CIRQA Leak on Online Store Reveals High Price

    Key Takeaway

    – Leak from Ukrainian retailer Stylus Store lists Garmin CIRQA, but retailer leaks/AI-generated images may be placeholders and should be treated cautiously.
    – Product image shows a simple fabric wristband with a visible sensor unit bearing a Garmin logo (design doesn’t hide the module like Fitbit Air).
    – Listed price is 22,399 UAH (~$509) with a pre-order discount to 19,999 UAH (~$454).
    – If accurate, CIRQA would be far pricier than rivals (Fitbit Air/Amazfit $99, Polar Loop $199; only Whoop’s subscription model is comparably costly).
    – No launch date or feature set is confirmed, so it’s unclear what would justify the high price.

Over the past few months, several leaks has suggested that Garmin will soon release an alternative to Whoop 5.0 or the new Google Fitbit Air ($99) on the market, and the Ukrainian retailer Stylus Store is already listing Garmin CIRQA, though as usual such retailer leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt since there’s always possibility it could be just a placeholder with an AI-generated product image.

    Retail listing details

The online store shows a simple fabric wristband with a small sensor unit bearing a clearly visible Garmin logo; if this image actually reflects the final design of Garmin CIRQA, Garmin appears to have chosen a comparatively simple aesthetic that does not let the base unit with the Garmin logo be hidden under the band like Fitbit Air allows, for example — the price on the listing is surprisingly high: the store states a list price of 22,399 UAH ($509), with a pre-order discount the wristband costs 19,999 UAH ($454).

    How it compares

If those prices are correct Garmin CIRQA will be considerably more expensive than most rivals. Fitbit Air and Amazfit Helio Strap cost $99 each, Polar Loop is offered for $199. Only Whoop MG is even more expensive because a subscription for $359 per year is required to obtain that wristband. So if Garmin is indeed charging around $500 for its fitness wristband without a display, it remains to be seen what features will justify such a high price, and there is still no official launch date known.

  • LG QNED92BU 115-inch: Largest QNED TV Ever

LG QNED92BU 115-inch: Largest QNED TV Ever

    Key Takeaway

    – LG launched its 2026 QNED evo Mini LED lineup in the US, led by the first-ever 115QNED92BU 115‑inch model (preorder $12,999.99)
    – QNED92B (2026 QNED90 series) uses a 4K Mini LED panel with Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen 3 and is the only QNED tier with Precision Dimming Ultra (more local dimming zones)
    – Color: Dynamic QNED Color Pro with Intertek‑certified 100% Color Volume; peak brightness figures not disclosed
    – Gaming: VRR up to 165 Hz, 330 Hz Motion Booster at 1080p for PC; consoles effectively limited to 4K/120 Hz; no HDMI 2.2 or Dolby Vision 2; ALLM included
    – webOS 26 integrates Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot for voice/AI recommendations and adds Sports and Gaming Portals

LG has officially launched its 2026 QNED evo Mini LED lineup in the United States, led by the 115QNED92BU – the companys first-ever 115-inch QNED television. The range sits at the top of LGs LCD TV hierarchy for 2026, and it sits beneath only the companys OLED and Micro RGB evo lines, so its aimed at buyers who want big-screen brightness without oled burn concerns.

    Positioning

The QNED92B is the US designation for LGs QNED90-series TVs in 2026; the B suffix means this is a 2026 model (last years equivalent used A). It uses a 4K Mini LED panel driven by LGs Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen 3 – the same processor found across LGs higher-end QNED lineup this year – alongside what LG calls Precision Dimming Ultra, the top tier of its local dimming hierarchy for 2026.

    Designation details

    Dimming note

That last distinction is key. The QNED90 series is the only QNED tier this year to carry Precision Dimming Ultra. Every other QNED84 and below steps down to Precision Dimming Pro or lower, which means fewer local dimming zones and less control over blooming and contrast in dark scenes. LG claims the 115-inch model specifically has 25% more dimming zones than its predecessor from last year, though, like previous years, the company refuses to publish the actual zone count.

    Colour and brightness

On the color side, LG uses Dynamic QNED Color Pro with Intertek-certified 100% Color Volume, meaning color accuracy is maintained even at higher brightness levels, which matters for HDR content. Peak brightness figures have not been disclosed by LG for any of the 2026 QNED models at the time of launch; so you cant compare numbers yet, only marketing claims.

    Gaming features

Gaming-wise, QNED92B supports VRR up to 165 Hz natively and a 330 Hz Motion Booster mode, the latter of which runs at reduced resolution (1080p) and is primarily geared towards PC gaming. For console users, the practical ceiling is still 4K/120 Hz as defined by HDMI 2.1 bandwidth – and its worth noting that LG has confirmed 2026 QNED TVs will not support HDMI 2.2 or Dolby Vision 2, so youre not missing cutting-edge connectivity. ALLM is included. LGs Gaming Portal in webOS 26 bundles access to cloud gaming services like GeForce NOW and Xbox Cloud Gaming alongside console-adjacent features.

    Key specs

    • Model: 115QNED92BU / QNED92B (US)
    • Panel: 4K Mini LED
    • Processor: Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen 3
    • Local dimming: Precision Dimming Ultra (only QNED90 tier)
    • Color: Dynamic QNED Color Pro, Intertek-certified 100% Color Volume
    • VRR: up to 165 Hz native
    • Motion Booster: 330 Hz mode (1080p reduced resolution)
    • Console cap: 4K/120 Hz via HDMI 2.1
    • No HDMI 2.2, No Dolby Vision 2
    • Features: ALLM, Gaming Portal, Sports Portal, webOS 26 with Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot
    • Availability: United States, pre-order
    • Price: $12,999.99

    Software

LG is using webOS 26 as the primary platform, and the company has integrated Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot for voice and AI-driven recommendations. Theres a Sports Portal with live scores and match alerts, and a new Gaming Portal hub as well — which groups cloud services and console features into one place, making navigation easy for less techy users.

    Availability

The aforementioned 115-inch TV is now available to pre-order for $12,999.99. Availability in stores and shipping windows may vary by retailer and region, and LG has kept some numbers like zones and peak nits intentionally vague at launch which might frustrate picky buyers.

  • Digimon Alysion Mobile 2026: Pokemon TCG Pocket Rival

Digimon Alysion Mobile 2026: Pokemon TCG Pocket Rival

    Key Takeaway

    – Launch confirmed on iOS/Android in 2026 (no exact date); tie-in physical starter Rubeusdramon/Yukinamon due Dec 2026.
    – Closed beta (Aug 2025, 10k participants) informed ongoing development—UI redesigns, friend PvP, extra languages, improved battle screens and Digivolution animations.
    – Digital adaptation of the physical Digimon Card Game featuring the Memory mechanic, new DigiAly cards, app‑exclusive Digimon, animated Digivolutions, and deckbuilding/battles.
    – Story mode ties to the Digimon Liberator universe (protagonist Kanata Hondo & partner Gemmon) with Tamagotchi‑style Digimon raising and a VR metaverse setting (T.A.L.E./LACUNA).
    – Positioned to challenge Pokémon TCG Pocket with strong JP fanbase and growing Western traction, but no App Store/Google Play listings yet.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has confirmed that Digimon Alysion, it’s free-to-play mobile card game based on the physical Digimon Card Game, will launch on iOS and Android in 2026. The confirmation came via the official Digimon Alysion X account, alongside news that a tie-in physical starter deck, Rubeusdramon/Yukinamon, will arrive in December 2026. No specific release date has been given yet.

Digimon Alysion was first announced at Digimon Con 2025 and held a closed beta test in August 2025 with 10,000 participants. Feedback from that test has been feeding into ongoing development, with UI redesigns, friend PvP, and additional language support all added since then. A second showing at Digimon Con in March 2026 revealed updated battle screens and improved Digivolution animations, suggesting the game is in a significantly more polished state than when it was first seen.

Digimon Alysion adapts the physical Digimon Card Game, launched in 2020, into a digital format built for mobile play. Players build decks, evolve Digimon, and battle others online using the card game’s Memory meter mechanic, which functions as a shared resource system that dictates turn flow. The digital version adds its own layer of content on top of the physical game’s foundation, including original cards called DigiAly, new Digimon that debut exclusively in the app, and animated Digivolution sequences that plays out during matches.

The game also includes a story mode, which takes place in the same universe as the Digimon Liberator web manga. Players follow a new protagonist named Kanata Hondo and her Digimon partner Gemmon as they enter T.A.L.E., a full-dive VR metaverse, to compete in card battles within a digital space called LACUNA. A rival character, Valner Dragnogh, is also confirmed. Between battles, the game includes Tamagotchi-style Digimon raising mechanics that let players bond with their partners outside of matches.

Digimon Alysion is being positioned as a direct competitor to Pokémon TCG Pocket, which generated over $1.6 billion in its first year and redefined what a mobile card game could earn. The Digimon Card Game has a significant and loyal player base in Japan and growing traction in the West, particularly since 2020, when the physical game launched and quickly built a competitive community. Whether Digimon Alysion can compete with the Pokémon brand on a global scale remains to be seen, but the IP recognition and the gap in the market for a second major monster-collecting TCG on mobile give it a genuine entry point.

Digimon Alysion does not yet have a listing on the App Store or Google Play. Digimon Alysion does not yet have a listing on the App Store or Google Play. A brief developer statement mentioned soundtrack work and promotional plans but didnt give specifics about composers or live events, leaving music fans and players still curious though.
