    Towards the end off last year, we reviewed the OmniBook 7 Aero 13 (curr. $769.99 – refurbished on Amazon). One of the worlds lightest 13-inch laptops, the OmniBook 7 Aero 13 was swiftly followed up by new 14-inch and 16-inch models. At the time, HP unveiled Intel versions of both sizes plus a 14-inch model powered by AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors.

    Intel Models and Pricing Breakdown

    Now, the OmniBook 7 14-inch is available with Intel processors. Starting at $1,299, the new OmniBook contains the Core Ultra 5 325, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 storage. Alternatively, Core Ultra 7 356H, Core Ultra X7 358H and Core Ultra X9 388H processors are available. However, prices jump to $1,689 with the Core Ultra 7 356H, $1,769 with the Core Ultra X7 358H and $2,069 with the Core Ultra X9 388H.

    Graphics, Memory, and Display Options

    For reference, only Core Ultra X options feature Intel’s Arc B390 graphics with 12 Xe3 GPU cores. Also, while HP includes 32 GB of RAM with all processors besides the Core Ultra 5 325, all SKUs contain the same 68 Wh battery. All these prices include an IPS display with a 1200p resolution, a 60 Hz refresh rate, 300 nits peak brightness and 62.5% sRGB colour space coverage.

    Higher Resolution and OLED Upgrades

    Currently, HP charges $80 more for a higher resolution IPS display that resolves at 2,240 x 1,400 pixels, albeit with an unchanged 60 Hz refresh rate and 300 nits peak brightness. Likewise, HP’s basic OLED panel combines a 1200p resolution with 300 nits peak brightness and a 60 Hz refresh rate. With that being said, a 1800p OLED panel is available with a 120 Hz variable refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and 500 nits peak brightness that rises to 1,100 nits in HDR mode.

    Storage, Full Configuration, and Colors

    Moreover, 1 TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage runs to a $120 surcharge. As a result, a fully configured OmniBook 7 costs $2,409 with a 1800p OLED display, a 1 TB SSD, 32 GB of RAM and a Core Ultra X9 388H processor. The new OmniBook 7 14 is available in Glacier Silver, Meteor Silver and Powder Pink finishes, too. The latter two colours cost $20 more than their Glacier Silver counterpart, though. Pre-orders should begin shipping in July 2026.

Data can be transferred not only via USB-C, but also via dual-band Wi-Fi. The battery has a capacity of 1,500 mAh, which should allow the 160-gram device, measuring 149 x 109 x 6.8 millimeters, to provide many hours of reading pleasure.

However, it is important to make a clear distinction here: Just because a printer has multiple print heads and can switch between them—and thus between different filaments—relatively quickly, this does not mean that they can be used simultaneously. IDEX systems can do exactly that, working with two print heads and thus two nozzles at the same time. We’re cautiously skeptical as to whether this is actually necessary for the end user. For commercial providers, such a system can be very useful, as it allows two identical or even mirror-image models to be produced on a single build plate, which can increase throughput, although the size of printable objects is then even more limited.

    Specs and Features of the Sovol M1D

    The Sovol M1D is a printer that can work with two print heads simultaneously. One of the two heads is fixed, while the second print head can be swapped out within 5 seconds, according to the manufacturer. This allows printing with seven different filaments without having to cut the filament or clean a nozzle. Nevertheless, there might be a little waste, at least when changing the print head. Simply put, for optimal 3D printing results, a certain equilibrium must first be established in the extruder. The Sovol M1D is said to offer smart features such as automatic, camera-based print monitoring. The build volume measures 300 x 300 x 350 millimeters, which should allow for the production of larger objects.

    We tested the Amazfit T-Rex 3 back in September 2024 and it was available for $279 at Amazon, the model continues recieving updates. Zepp Health is not only concentrating on bug fixes, but they also add new features. The update to software version 4.5.3.3, which came out in March, was particularly significant.

    Maps and Navigation Upgrades

    Prior to the update, the watch had offline maps and navigation, but not entirely without a smartphone. This feature has been available since March, letting users choose points directly on the watch on saved maps, and real-world routes are generated taking roads and paths into account. It’s worth noting that Zepp Health also lets existing customers benefit from fresh features.

    Download Manager and Route History

    The newly released software version 4.9.4.4 expands the navigation and map functions even more. There is now a map download manager, it allows users to pause, delete or update there downloads. This can be usefull, for example, for prioritizing an urgently needed map download or preparing downloads for the next leg of the journey in advance. If navigation gets used before an activity, then the route name and route history show up on the preparation page.

    Additionally, the route page during activities and also the map app now feature optimized scales. The changes dont end there, dives can now be automatically recorded system-wide without having to specifically start the appropriate activity. According to the changelog, multi-day activities that get paused and then resumed repeatedly result in lower power consumption and longer battery life overall.

For anyone who is a Xbox Game Pass subscriber, Microsoft also revealed some really good news, since the company announced a large colllection of games which will be joining the service across the next several months and continuing into the year after.

      New Game Pass additions announced during the show

      During the big event, Microsoft confirmed that there would be a total of 17 new games that launch day-one on Xbox Game Pass. Day one means that subscribers can start playing these titles instantly right when they come out, without the need for buying them in a separate transaction. The games that where anounced includes quite a few highly anticipated titles, like Gears of War E-Day and also Fable, plus quite a few other exciting new projects that are currently in development.

      A New Special Edition Console Appears

      The new Xbox console was unveiled during the Xbox Games Showcase and it is actually a special edition of the Xbox Series X. Officially called the Xbox Series X25, the limited edition console has a translucent case in the original green color of the first Xbox console. The same color has been used by 8BitDo for several of its Xbox-licensed PC and gaming accessories such as the Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard – Xbox Edition, Retro R8 Mouse – Xbox Edition, Retro 18 Mechanical Numpad – Xbox Edition, and the Ultimate 3-mode Controller for Xbox.

      Design Details and Technical Specs

      The console isn’t just green but also has some easter eggs such as the Xbox logo lighting up in green and a 25th anniversary logo on the front. With respect to specs, this version is no different from the standard Xbox Series X which has 1TB of storage. In addition to the Xbox Series X25, Xbox will also sell an Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition, this version of the controller also has a translucent green shell as well as colored ABXY buttons, and bumpers that pay homage to those of the original Xbox Duke Controller.

      Release and Purchase Options

      The Xbox Series X25 Console and Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition will be sold together in select markets starting in November. However, the controller will also be available as a separate purchase. Unfortunatly, pricing and pre-order details weren’t revealed.

        Noticing a Familiar Model

        Attentive readers might remeber the KF100 Max, witch is now also available on Amazon. However, both sales and shipping are handeled by a third-party seller rather than Amazon itself. If ordered today, buyers can expect delivery between June 12 and June 13, which is still next week.

        The KF100 Max comes with a feature that DJI consumer drones do not offer, namley the ability to drop small payloads. Users should check their local regulations very carefully in this regard. The same applies to the rather high takeoff weight of 1.64 to 1.65 pounds. As a result, operation requires the certificate of competency A1/A3 in EU countries.

        Remote Control and Flight Capabilities

        The drone ships with a remote control that has an integrated screen. This means a smartphone is not required. The advertised transmission range is up to 3.7 miles. Users do not necessarily have to control the drone manually the entire time. Thanks to its integrated GPS module, the KF100 Max can fly waypoints and also return automatically to its takeoff point.

They are barely different in design. Both use a Nitecore NL2155HPi battery that is replaceable. The battery charges via the USB-C port on the flashlight wich is protected.

        Battry Options and Controls

        Alternatively, CR123 cells can be used. The controls are identical and configurable, including button layout and the protective slide switch for locking the flashlight. If you have used the P27iX you should have no trouble using the smaller P17iX at all.

        Light Output and Runtimes

        As before, there is a floodlight and spotlight that can be biefly activated until the flashlight gets too hot. There are constant-on modes. The diffrence is still significant even though both are rated at 5,000 lumens. However, the P17iX beam only offers 1,083 feet of range. The 27 model reaches 328 feet farther. It is also 0.8 oz lighter cause the head is smaller, and weights 3.6 oz including the battery according to the manufacturer.

        Battery Life in Modes

        Battery life in the lowest mode of 15 lumens is around 100 hours. In turbo mode at 1,500 lumens, the P17iX lasts half an hour longer and therefor manages at least 3 hours of runtime. The model is very rugged and IP68-rated. Brief immersion down to 6.6 feet is permited. According to Nitecore drops from up to 6.6 feet are possible too.
