While the company’s washing machines and washer-dryers are already familiar in Western markets, its home market product catalogue is significantly larger, and this latest addition reinforces that strategy.
Electrolytic cleaning with automated precision
The core feature of the new machine is an integrated electrolysis system. By passing an electrical current through water, it partially separates the liquid into its constituent elements, generating active oxygen. This active oxygen is designed to eliminate bacteria and improve fabric brightness, although users must still add detergent for a complete wash. To simplify operation, the appliance includes automatic detergent dispensing. Sensors assess the specific laundry load and release the necessary amount of detergent with an accuracy of 0.75 milliliters, removing the need for manual guessing. For those who prefer direct control, the automatic setting can be overridden to accommodate varying soil levels.
Smart connectivity and targeted wash cycles
Built to function within the Xiaomi smart home ecosystem, the machine provides a wide selection of preset wash programs. Among these, one cycle completes a heavy-duty clean in 36 minutes, while a rapid 12-minute mode is available for lightly soiled items. The manufacturer also states that the device is capable of removing over 90 percent of pet hair, addressing a common laundry challenge for pet owners.

The Mijia Washing Machine Pro is currently listed in China at a price equivalent to approximately $375. No details have yet been disclosed regarding a potential international launch, leaving Western consumers waiting for further announcements on wider availability.
