SwitchBot has broadened its lineup of Matter-connected lighting with the introduction of a new smart ceiling light in the US market. The RGBICWW ceiling light is built to unify everyday illumination, colored ambient effects, and cross-platform smart home management within a single fixture. In contrast to competitors such as the Govee Smart Ceiling Light Pro, which is sold exclusively in a 15-inch format, SwitchBot is releasing two diameters: 12 inches and 15 inches.
Two Sizes for Different Spaces
The larger 15-inch model is rated for rooms measuring roughly 20 square meters (215 square feet) and can deliver a peak brightness of 3,200 lumens. The 12-inch variant reaches up to 2,000 lumens and covers areas up to 15 square meters (161 square feet). According to the company, the 15-inch option fits bedrooms, kitchens, compact living rooms, entertainment areas, and home offices, while the 12-inch version is suited to bathrooms, hallways, storage rooms, and balconies.
Tunable White and Full-Color Control
Both models provide dimmable white and full-color lighting with an adjustable color temperature ranging from a warm 2,700K to a cool 6,500K. Through the SwitchBot app, owners can choose from 26 preset scenes and eight distinct lighting effects, as well as adjust brightness, customize colors, schedule routines, and set time-of-day automations. Physical remote control is also supported, alongside voice commands via Apple Home, Alexa, and Google Home.
Matter over WiFi is built directly into the fixture, eliminating the need for an additional SwitchBot hub when linking to major smart home ecosystems. The light’s RGBIC technology enables dynamic multicolor effects, and the unit can interact with other SwitchBot devices in a broader home automation setup.
Pricing and Launch Discounts
The SwitchBot RGBICWW ceiling light is priced at $49.99 for the 12-inch model and $79.99 for the 15-inch model. As part of a launch promotion, the company is offering a 26 percent discount on the smaller version and a 30 percent discount on the larger one, bringing the effective prices down to $36.99 and $55.99, respectively.
