Ugreen has expanded its compact charging lineup with the Nexode Air 100W Slim, a three-port adapter initially unveiled in China. The new model is a direct evolution of the single-port 45W Slim charger, which was recently put through its paces in a hands-on evaluation.
A more versatile port layout
While the earlier 45W variant relied on a single USB-C connection, the 100W version steps up to three ports for multi-device flexibility. It houses two USB-C outputs and one USB-A port. Both USB-C ports can individually deliver up to 100 watts, while the USB-A port reaches a maximum of 22.5 watts.
When all three ports are occupied simultaneously, the charger dynamically adjusts its power distribution. USB-C1 remains the primary output with up to 80 watts, while USB-C2 and the USB-A port together supply a combined 15 watts. This configuration keeps a laptop charging at full speed while accommodating smaller accessories.
Broad compatibility and fast-charging performance
The Nexode Air 100W Slim supports a wide range of charging standards, including PD 3.0, PD 2.0, QC 3.0, and SSCP. This breadth of protocol support makes it suitable for everything from flagship phones and laptops to lower-power devices such as smartwatches and drones.
Ugreen has provided specific charging benchmarks to illustrate real-world speed. Using a 100-watt-rated cable, the adapter can recharge a 2022 MacBook Air to 53 percent in half an hour. In the same 30-minute window, it reportedly brings the Redmi K90 Pro Max to 59 percent, the Honor 500 Pro to 55 percent, and the Huawei Mate 60 Pro to 29 percent. These figures position it competitively among compact multi-port chargers currently on the market.
Thermal design and initial availability
The adapter incorporates AirPyra technology, a design approach that Ugreen says ensures stable power delivery under sustained heavy loads. During testing of the smaller 45W variant, noticeable warmth was observed, so the thermal behavior of this higher-wattage model will be a practical point of interest once units reach wider hands-on review.
Priced at CNY 189 in China, which converts to approximately $28, the Nexode Air 100W Slim enters the market at an aggressive price point. Ugreen has not yet confirmed a global launch date, though an international release is widely anticipated in the near future. For now, the device gives budget-conscious users a slim, multi-port option that aims to balance high output with a small footprint.
