Samsung’s next generation of foldable smartphones is widely expected to debut at a Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, July 22. Months of leaks have already painted a detailed picture of the devices’ design and core specifications, but fresh information now points to a significant price increase across the European lineup.
Price hike hits the base models
According to a new report from Winfuture, the entry-level models will each cost €100 more than their predecessors. The Galaxy Z Flip8 with 256 GB of internal storage is listed at €1,299, while the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra in the same 256 GB configuration climbs to €2,199. The cost of moving to higher storage tiers has also risen sharply: upgrading to 512 GB now adds €200 to the price, compared to €120 on last year’s models.
Premium configurations reach new heights
At the very top of the range, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra with 1 TB of storage is rumored to carry a €2,799 price tag. That figure represents a €280 jump over the equivalent Galaxy Z Fold7 variant and underlines Samsung’s willingness to push its flagship foldable deeper into ultra-premium territory.
A more accessible wide-format option
The lineup is also expected to include an entirely new model, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, which is reportedly priced €200 below the Fold8 Ultra across all storage configurations. That lower price point is likely driven by the absence of a telephoto camera and the use of smaller displays, positioning the device as a more accessible entry into Samsung’s book-style foldable family. Purported official images of all three upcoming foldables surfaced just days ago, reinforcing expectations that a full reveal is imminent.
