In the lead-up to its official debut, Motorola has outlined the core features of the standard Moto Pad 70, following earlier confirmations about the Moto Pad 70 Groove. The Groove variant, which boasts a nine-speaker JBL audio system, is slated to arrive in India on July 31. A dedicated preview page on Flipkart has now detailed what to expect from the more mainstream model.
Display, Design and Productivity Tools
The device is built around a 12.1-inch screen delivering a “2.5K” resolution, with brightness reaching up to 800 nits in High Brightness Mode. At 530 grams and measuring just 6.29 millimeters thick, the Moto Pad 70 prioritizes portability. Productivity is enhanced by full support for the Moto Pen stylus, which ships in the box alongside the tablet.
Performance and Battery
Under the hood, the tablet runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, a 6nm octa-core processor that records typical benchmarks around 449,000 points in AnTuTu v10. Managing power is a substantial 10,200mAh battery, supported by 68W fast charging. The Moto Pad 70 also includes 5G connectivity and launches with Android 16 out of the box. Motorola is pledging two major Android updates and a security patch commitment extending through 2030.
Audio and Market Positioning
A quad-speaker system tuned with Dolby Atmos rounds out the multimedia experience. Motorola has scheduled the Moto Pad 70’s India launch for August 8. Based on its listed specifications, the tablet strongly resembles the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus, which is currently available in the United States for $268.28, suggesting a closely aligned strategy between the two brands.
