The tablet, identified by model number “M65BA,” has cleared the China Compulsory Certificate (3C) process. The filing names Xi'an BYD Electronics Co., Ltd as the manufacturer. The firm operates as an original design manufacturer (ODM) and production partner for several major consumer electronics brands.
Battery Capacity and Charging Speed
According to the certification, the Pad 9 will include a 45W fast charging adapter in the box. This charger is expected to replenish a 9,720mAh battery, marking a step up from the 9,200mAh cell found in the previous generation. The larger capacity should pair well with the higher wattage for reasonably quick top‑ups.
Processor Strategy and Model Variants
Earlier supply chain leaks point to a two-model lineup. A standard version is said to carry the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, while a Pro variant would step up to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Both tablets are expected to debut alongside the Xiaomi 18 smartphone series later this year.
Based on the established pattern between the Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro, the Pro model of the new series is likely to differentiate itself with improved camera hardware and support for faster charging speeds. Further details remain limited for now.
