Motorola is preparing to launch a new tablet in the Indian market, with the Moto Pad 70 Groove scheduled to arrive on July 31. Ahead of the official release, the device’s Flipkart microsite has gone live, confirming several key specifications related to the screen and power pack.
Display and visual features
The Moto Pad 70 Groove is built around a 12.1-inch display with a sharp “2.5K” resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The panel can reach up to 800 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode and carries support for HDR10 as well as Dolby Vision, promising an enhanced viewing experience for video and games.
Battery capacity and charging
Powering the tablet is a substantial 10,200mAh battery, which Motorola says is capable of delivering up to 15 hours of continuous video playback on a full charge. A 68W charger is included in the retail box, although the company has not yet disclosed the tablet’s maximum supported wired charging speed.
Audio system and broader context
Motorola has previously detailed an expansive nine-speaker JBL audio setup on the device, rated for up to 48W of output and compatible with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio. The newly confirmed display and battery figures align with earlier speculation that the Moto Pad 70 Groove may be a rebranded version of the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2, which is currently available in the US and features a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, a 13MP rear camera, and an 8MP front-facing camera.
