Ferrari’s Endurance Racing Dominance

Although the Tifosi have had to endure nothing but disappointments year-after-year in Formula 1, the same cannot be said for the Scuderia's performance in endurance racing. With the introduction of the Ferrari 499P in the 2023 Le Mans following a 58-year absence, the legendary motorsports division of the Italian luxury giant managed to grab three consecutive wins.

A New Sim Racing Replica

Folks who would like to simulate a similar experience at home can now do so without spending a fortune, thanks to Thrustmaster's latest Ferrari 499P-inspired sim racing wheel. This 1:1 replica is the result of a collaboration with Ferrari itself, featuring a 4.3-inch built-in screen, carbon fiber back cover with a six-pedal setup, as well as backlit control switches for an immersive experience.

Display and Control Features

The aforementioned display utilizes an LCD panel, and delivers up to a whopping 140 parameters. Similar to the real deal, 12 RPM LEDs as well as 10 flag LEDs are also present. Triple rotary encoders are present, finished in the colors of the Italian flag, allowing several in-race engine and strategy adjustments.

Additional Encoders and Adjustments

Four aluminum thumb encoders are also present, which should allow for traction adjustments, brake bias settings, as well as more drivetrain settings crucial for a precise racing experience.

Limited Edition Pricing and Availability

Rather disappointingly, this collector's piece will be limited to 499 pieces only. Priced at €851 / $851 / £751, the Thrustmaster 499P is priced quite modestly considering limited production and overall appeal towards sim racers who happen to be Scuderia Ferrari fans as well.

Compatible Base Option

Those who would also like to purchase a compatible base for the wheel, can check out the Thrustmaster T818 base, currently available for $649.99 on Amazon.
