DJI has formally announced the global launch date for the Osmo Pocket 4 Pro, stylized as the Osmo Pocket 4P, bringing an end to weeks of regional exclusivity. The compact vlogging camera was initially teased in mid-April, but sales remained confined to China following a quiet release on June 16. The device is positioned as a direct competitor to the Insta360 Luna Ultra, which currently retails for $769.
A Gradual International Rollout
The camera's availability expanded slightly when it reached the Japanese market on June 23, yet DJI held back on a wider international release for another full month. The company has now confirmed it will host a “See More. Tell More” launch event on July 30 at 12:00 GMT. During this event, the Osmo Pocket 4P will officially debut in both black and white color options.
Regional Availability and US Exclusion
Despite the broad global push, the release map published by DJI notably excludes the United States. The company’s US website contains no mention of the Osmo Pocket 4P, even as the device is featured prominently on its Canadian and Mexican storefronts. The rollout will cover North America outside the US, along with Europe, the Middle East, most of Asia, and parts of South America. Official DJI storefronts do not exist in Africa.
Pricing and Market Positioning
Pricing details for international markets have not been finalized, but a comparison to the Chinese domestic market suggests a clear premium. In China, the Osmo Pocket 4P commands a price roughly 25 percent higher than the standard Osmo Pocket 4. Based on that pricing structure, the camera is expected to retail for approximately $599 in Canada, quoted in U.S. dollars, with European pricing likely to land above £550 in the UK and around €599 in the Eurozone.
