Asus has officially confirmed that its newest premium tablet, the Asus Pad (T3201), will make its debut in India on August 6 at 12 PM local time. The announcement follows the device’s initial unveiling at Computex 2026.
A High-Refresh Tandem OLED Display
The slate is built around a 12.2-inch dual-stack tandem OLED panel, a technology designed to deliver higher brightness and improved longevity compared to conventional OLED screens. The display offers a sharp resolution of 2,800 x 1,840 pixels within a productivity-friendly 3:2 aspect ratio and supports a fluid 144Hz refresh rate.
Performance and Storage Configuration
Under the hood, the Asus Pad runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8300, an octa-core processor fabricated on a 4nm process. It is paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and will be available in two storage tiers: 128GB and 256GB. Users who need additional space can expand storage by up to 1TB using a microSD card.
The camera setup consists of a 13-megapixel autofocus rear sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. A sizable 9,000mAh battery keeps the device running and supports 45W wired charging. Connectivity is covered by Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB-C port that includes DisplayPort 1.4 output. An audio system comprising four speakers with Dolby Atmos rounds out the core multimedia features.
Design, Build, and Availability
Finished in Pure White, the tablet measures just 6.5mm thick and weighs 523 grams. Asus has noted that a protective case will be included in the box at launch. While official pricing for the Indian market has not yet been disclosed, the company’s decision to bundle a case and offer the tandem OLED panel positions the Asus Pad as a direct competitor in the high-end Android tablet segment, where display quality and out-of-box accessories increasingly influence buying decisions.
