Asus has officially introduced the a14 Air 2026 in China, placing a strong emphasis on its ultraportable construction. The company states that the notebook weighs just 990 grams and measures 14.9 mm thick, positioning it among the slimmest and lightest designs in its performance class.
AMD Hawk Point Processing and Graphics
At the core of the system is an AMD Ryzen 9 8945H processor, a high-performance chip from the Hawk Point family. Integrated Radeon 780M graphics accompany the CPU, providing enough headroom to run demanding AAA titles at reduced visual settings. The laptop routes visuals through a 14-inch OLED display with a sharp 2880x1800 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, which should deliver smoother motion in fast-paced content. Asus specifies a peak brightness of 600 nits, full DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and DisplayHDR TrueBlack 600 certification.
Cooling, Battery, and Port Selection
A dual-fan thermal solution is engineered to sustain performance under load without generating excessive noise, according to company claims. Power is supplied by a 70 Wh battery, while the processor is configured for up to 45 W of sustained output. Despite the slender profile, the a14 Air 2026 offers a practical range of ports: one regular USB-C, one USB4, two USB-A connectors, an HDMI 2.1 output, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Other design touches include a generously sized trackpad, a keyboard tuned for typing comfort, and a hinge that opens a full 180 degrees.
Memory, Storage, and Pricing
Two configurations are available in China at launch. The base model combines 16 GB of RAM with a 512 GB SSD and is priced at CNY 6,799. A higher-tier variant steps up to 32 GB of memory and a 1 TB SSD for CNY 7,599. Both versions feature two M.2 slots, leaving room for future storage expansion. The company has yet to detail international release plans, though the device is widely expected to reach markets outside China under the Zenbook family.
