Announced today, the Chuwi LarkBox X 100U arrives as an updated compact desktop, replacing last year’s model with a new processor and the same small-scale footprint. The 2023 version shipped with an Intel N100 chip, while the latest hardware steps up to an Intel Core 3 100U.
Modest performance gains for everyday computing
The Core 3 100U is a newer entry-level processor, though the real-world performance uplift over the previous N100 remains incremental. It is designed for routine productivity and media playback rather than demanding applications. The integrated UHD graphics with 64 execution units can handle light gaming, but it will not deliver smooth frame rates in modern AAA titles. Chuwi pairs the chip with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, both of which are user-upgradeable.
Port selection and triple 4K display support
Despite its compact chassis, the LarkBox X 100U offers a practical spread of connectivity. The USB-C port is described as “full-featured,” carrying DisplayPort Alt Mode to enable triple monitor output alongside the dedicated DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.1 connections. All three video outputs support 4K resolution monitors.
- WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2
- USB-C (full-featured, with DisplayPort Alt Mode)
- DisplayPort 1.2
- HDMI 2.1
