Apple Powerbeats Pro 2 Leak: Heart Rate Tracking, ANC, Features

Leaker Arséne Lupin has revealed fresh and never-before-seen pictures of what is likely to be the next earbuds from Apple. Usually, Apple synchronizes the launch of its audio devices with the release of new iPhones, much like the AirPods 4, which are currently priced at $168.99 on Amazon.

Different Launch Strategies

When it comes to Beats products, their launches are handled differently. For instance, the Studio Buds Plus were introduced in May 2023. Now, it appears that Apple is preparing to unveil the Powerbeats Pro’s successor, which has been on the market for nearly five years. Although a specific release date is still unclear, an official confirmation indicated that it will be launched sometime in late 2024.

Recent Leaks and Features

Meanwhile, the Powerbeats Pro 2 have been featured in multiple recent leaks. Earlier leaks mainly concentrated on product images, but the latest set from Arsène Lupin seem to validate a few expected upgrades over the original Powerbeats Pro. These images further support earlier leaks by showcasing the same design and four initial color options.

In one of the pictures, a symbol representing active noise cancellation (ANC) is visible, highlighting controls for the Beats for Android app. There’s also a switch for a transparency mode. Additionally, a button marked ‘Heart Rate’ is shown, suggesting that the Powerbeats Pro 2 may have the ability to monitor heart rate using optical sensors located in each earbud. Currently, the expected price for the Powerbeats Pro 2 is €299.95 in the Eurozone, while pricing details for the US market have yet to be announced.
