When the Amazfit T-Rex 3 was revealed at IFA 2024, it came in two shades—Onyx and Lava. Now, Amazfit has introduced a third color option, but it’s only available in limited amounts.
New Color Variant
This fresh color is named Haze Gray, featuring a light gray body and matching straps, unlike the other two options which sport a darker gray or black body. Users can still buy replacement straps in various colors and materials, including nylon, silicone, fluoroelastomer, and even upcycled silicone, allowing them to customize their watch to fit their style.
Pricing Comparison
Unless you’re a huge fan of the new shade, it’s suggested to go for the Amazfit T-Rex 3 in Lava or Onyx, as they are currently priced lower than the newly introduced Haze Gray version.
You can find the Onyx and Lava models on Amazon for $234.99, which is a 16% discount, saving you $45 from the original price of $279.99. Both color options are also available at the same reduced price on Amazfit’s official website, while the newly launched Haze Gray remains at its full price of $279.99.
Features and Updates
The Amazfit T-Rex 3 is a robust smartwatch loaded with features, and since its initial release, it has undergone numerous updates that added new functionalities. Recently, an update introduced support for the HYROX Physical Fitness Test, helping users assess their fitness levels and determine which HYROX race category to join. Additionally, a new workout option for snow plowing was added, and the maps app can now highlight essential locations like hospitals, stores, restrooms, and stadiums.
Back in October, the smartwatch received an update for blood pressure monitoring, but users will need to calibrate it with a separate blood pressure monitor. Furthermore, the T-Rex 3 has a dedicated app for controlling Sonos devices.
