Last month, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip in China. The Mix Flip marked the company's first foray into flip-style phones with foldable displays. While some reports suggest that the Mix Fold 4 may be exclusive to the Chinese market, the Mix Flip is anticipated to have a global release. Ahead of its expected international debut, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore discovered the FAQ page for the global variant of the Xiaomi Mix Flip. This page provides crucial details about the device before its worldwide launch.
Xiaomi Mix Flip RAM, Storage, and Color Variants (Global Version)
According to the FAQ page, the global version of the Xiaomi Mix Flip will be offered with 12 GB and 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM options. Storage choices include UFS 4.0 options of 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. Additionally, these storage options will feature UFS storage expansion (virtual RAM) capabilities of 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB.
The FAQs also indicate that the global version will be available in black, white, and purple, all featuring Panda-X glass. Furthermore, there will be a special Xiaomi Nylon Fiber edition, featuring a fiberglass substrate and a nylon outer layer.
With the appearance of these FAQs, it seems that the Mix Flip will launch soon, possibly this month or in September.
Xiaomi Mix Flip Specifications
The Xiaomi Mix Flip comes with a 6.86-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1224 x 2912 pixels. It also features a 4-inch AMOLED display on the outside, with a resolution of 1392 x 1208 pixels. Both screens support a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The device is designed with an aluminum frame and a stainless-steel hinge.
For photography, the phone is equipped with a 32-megapixel OmniVision camera on the front. The rear dual-camera setup includes a 50-megapixel OmniVision OVX8000 Leica-engineered primary camera and a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV60A telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. It operates on Android 14 with the HyperOS UI.
Underneath, the Xiaomi Mix Flip is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and is backed by a 4,780mAh battery with 67W rapid charging. Security is ensured with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. There's no information yet on the global pricing of the device. In China, it starts at 5,999 Yuan (~$836).
