Xiaomi Mi 11X Series Receives HyperOS Update – Latest News

Xiaomi created a significant stir with the introduction of the HyperOS update, which is now expanding to cover more devices. Two such devices are the Xiaomi Mi 11X and 11X Pro, which have recently been equipped with the HyperOS update. These smartphones essentially represent rebranded versions of the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro series, with the Redmi K40, known globally as the POCO F3, being marketed as the Mi 11X in India.

Xiaomi Mi 11X and 11X Pro HyperOS Update

The Xiaomi Mi 11X and 11X Pro have now been updated with the HyperOS, featuring build numbers OS1.0.1.0.TKHINXM and OS1.0.1.0.UKKINXM respectively. While the Mi 11X has been upgraded to HyperOS based on Android 13, the Mi 11X Pro now runs on HyperOS built on Android 14. This divergence is attributed to the variance in processors utilized by the two devices. The Mi 11X is equipped with the Snapdragon 870, whereas the 11X Pro runs on the Snapdragon 888 processor. The Snapdragon 888 being a more recent chip, enables the Mi 11X Pro to be compatible with the Android 14 update. Users of the Mi 11X need not fret, as the new update features HyperOS optimizations.

Security Patches and Update Sizes

The Xiaomi Mi 11X has been updated with the March 2024 security patch, while the Mi 11X Pro has received the April 2024 security patch. The update for the Mi 11X weighs in at 1.6GB, whereas the Pro model now boasts the latest Android 14 version through a substantial 4.8GB update. These updates mark the final major software upgrades for these devices, hinting that users may resort to Custom ROMs for future enhancements.
