The Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro are set to be unveiled very soon. Recent leaks suggest that they will take the place of the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro on October 29. This launch event will also be the occasion when Xiaomi introduces HyperOS 2.0 to the public.
A Sneak Peek at the Xiaomi 15 Ultra
Meanwhile, SmartPrix has given an alleged first glimpse of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which is not expected until early next year. The website claims that this device will be the successor to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which is currently priced at $1,085 on Amazon, and it could debut in February 2025. However, they have not provided any proof to back up this assertion.
Design Features and Camera Specs
Despite the lack of evidence, the design shared aligns with past rumors. The large circular camera setup is back, but it has been modified to accommodate a new periscope telephoto lens. As per SmartPrix, this new lens will be the ISOCELL HP9, which Samsung already supplies to Vivo for their X100 Ultra. If this information holds true, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra could feature a 4.3x native optical zoom with a 1/1.4-inch optical format and boasts of 200 MP.
Camera and Battery Details
In addition, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is anticipated to come equipped with a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50 MP 2x telephoto camera, along with a 32 MP camera for selfies. To power it all, Xiaomi is likely to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 80 W wireless charging and 90 W wired charging. Lastly, it appears that the 'Ultra' model will be available in black and white finishes made from vegan leather.
