Prolific leaker Digital Chat Station recently shared on Weibo that an upcoming flagship phone will feature a 6000mAh silicon battery. While the tipster didn’t specify which phone it is, the timing and previous leaks suggest it’s likely the Xiaomi 15 Pro.
The leak further teases a larger 6,200mAh± silicon battery currently under development, probably for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
Release Timeline
According to Xiaomi‘s typical release schedule, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to arrive in February 2025. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will launch sooner, around October or November, after Qualcomm announces its Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip.
Camera and Display Features
Leaks so far have revealed that the Xiaomi 15 Pro will sport a 50-megapixel main sensor with a variable aperture of f/1.4 to f/2.5. This will be accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide and 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
The front will feature a centered punch-hole display with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Security will be handled by an in-display fingerprint sensor for a seamless unlocking experience.
Build and Additional Features
As for the build, a report suggests that the device will have a metal middle frame, with the possibility of a more premium titanium special edition. Likewise, the device is said to have a thickness of 8.5mm and a weight of around 220 grams.
Standard features like full-function NFC, infrared remote control, dual speakers, and IP68 dust and water resistance are also expected.
Xiaomi Tablet Leak
Additionally, today’s leak from Digital Chat Station mentions a new Xiaomi tablet boasting a massive 8650mAh rated battery, with a typical capacity exceeding 9000mAh. While it’s not yet clear which specific tablet the tipster is referring to, it’s reasonable to speculate that this could be part of the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 7 series.
