Vivo is gearing up to introduce the Y300 series in China shortly, which will include two variants: the vivo Y300 and the Y300 Pro. Notably, the Y300 Pro has already secured a 3C certification in China.
Vivo Y300 Pro Packaging and Features
Recently, images of the vivo Y300 Pro's packaging have emerged online. These images confirm that the device will feature a substantial 6500mAh battery, a detail earlier hinted at by a Weibo source. The packaging highlights the phone's battery life as "ridiculously long-lasting" (translated from Chinese), indicating that this feature will be a key selling point for the device.
Based on the packaging's color, there is speculation that the phone may be available in a purple variant.
Charging Capabilities and Comparisons
The 3C certification listing has also revealed that the phone will support 80W charging. However, further specifications of the device remain undisclosed.
For comparison, the previous model, vivo Y200 Pro, which debuted in May, featured a 6.78″ FHD+ display with a peak brightness of 1300 nits. It was equipped with the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, coupled with UFS 2.2 storage. This model housed a 5000 mAh battery with 44W charging support, was 7.5 mm thick, and weighed 172g. As Vivo upgrades to a larger battery, it will be interesting to observe how they maintain the thickness and ergonomic feel of the phone.
Camera Specifications of the Predecessor
Regarding its camera setup, the predecessor included a 64 MP main sensor along with a 2 MP macro lens on the rear. A 16 MP sensor was utilized for selfies.
