A new Vivo smartphone with the model number V2410A has been officially registered on China’s 3C certification platform. This model, expected to be the Vivo Y300 Pro 5G, has also been found in the Geekbench database. Vivo's Vice President of Brand and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, Jia Jingdong, has announced the release date along with key specifications and design features of the Y300 Pro.
Key Features and Design of the Vivo Y300 Pro 5G
Jingdong explains that the Vivo Y300 Pro will expand the Vivo Y series, known for its durability and ease of use, with a global user base exceeding 300 million. The Y300 Pro embodies Vivo’s “decentralization” strategy, which integrates advanced features from flagship models into the Y series, enhancing its competitiveness. However, the Y300 Pro goes a step further by employing a “leapfrogging” strategy, incorporating cutting-edge features even before they appear in flagship models, thereby elevating the user experience significantly.
The Vivo Y300 Pro 5G debuts Vivo’s latest display technology, featuring a 6.77-inch micro-quad-curved OLED screen. The display boasts an ultra-bright 5000nit brightness, perfect for outdoor use. It includes eye-friendly technologies such as blue light filtering and anti-strobe features, certified by both the National Ophthalmology Engineering Centre and SGS for eye protection. The Vivo Y300 also holds SGS certification for its drop resistance, dustproof, and waterproof properties.
Battery and Camera Highlights
A standout feature of the Y300 Pro is its 6,500mAh Blue Ocean battery, offering up to 12.1 hours of gaming on a single charge. Despite the large battery, the phone maintains a slim profile at 7.69mm and is engineered for a lifespan of five years. It supports 80W wired charging, along with wireless and reverse charging capabilities. Vivo’s Extreme Graphite Technology optimizes the battery structure to achieve high energy efficiency without increasing the size.
On the camera front, the Y300 Pro is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary rear camera, complemented by a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies. The design and camera capabilities are notable, featuring a flagship-style design with a jade ring lens module and a 360-degree sun texture.
Additional Features and Variants
The phone enhances the popular “career mode,” now in its second iteration, which is designed for professional use by riders. This mode includes improved hands-free call features, enhanced network optimization, and intelligent assistance for delivery tasks. The Y300 Pro is available in four unique color options: Titanium, Gold Inlaid Jade, Mutton Fat White, and Black Jade Black.
According to the Geekbench listing, the Vivo Y300 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, come with 12 GB of RAM, and run on Android 14. It will be the successor to last year’s Snapdragon 695-powered Vivo Y200 Pro.
