Vivo has launched a new mid-range 5G smartphone in India, called the Vivo Y300. This device boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 2,400 × 1,080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and an impressive peak brightness of 1,800 nits. At the front, there's a 32-megapixel selfie camera placed neatly in a punch-hole design.
Performance and Storage
The Vivo Y300 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, complemented by 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Users can choose between 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can easily be expanded using a microSD card slot.
On the rear, the phone sports a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor with an f/1.79 aperture, alongside a 2-megapixel depth camera. One unique feature is the small ring light, called Aura Light, which is designed to enhance low-light portrait photography, according to Vivo.
Software and Battery Life
Running on Funtouch OS 14, based on Android 14, the Vivo Y300 comes equipped with a robust 5,000 mAh battery that supports fast charging at 80 W with the included adapter. Additionally, it has an in-display optical fingerprint sensor and is rated for IP64 water and dust resistance, making it quite durable.
The Vivo Y300 is set to start shipping on November 26, with a starting price of INR 21,999 (~$260) for the 8 GB + 128 GB variant, and INR 23,999 (~$284) for the 256 GB option. It will be available in three attractive colors: Phantom Purple, Emerald Green, and Titanium Silver.
