Vivo has recently unveiled its flagship X200 series smartphones in China, and it looks like they might be coming to global markets soon. According to a new report by SmartPrix, the Vivo X200 series could make its debut in India before the year wraps up.
Release Timeline
The company is aiming for a launch during the second week of December. Although the specific date is yet to be confirmed, the report suggests a clear release timeframe. Initially, it seems Vivo plans to bring only the standard and Pro versions to India, leaving the fate of the smaller, budget-friendly X200 Pro mini unclear.
Vivo is said to be monitoring how well the standard and Pro models perform in the market before making a decision on whether to launch the mini version in India.
Specifications of the Vivo X200 / X200 Pro
The X200 and X200 Pro feature a spacious 6.78-inch micro-curved 8T LTPO OLED display, which offers a 120Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. Both devices run on the Dimensity 9400 chipset, with the X200 providing up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The X200 Pro, however, impresses with an incredible 16GB of RAM and a whopping 1TB of storage.
There are slight differences in their camera systems. The X200 comes equipped with a triple-camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens featuring 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. In contrast, the X200 Pro enhances the main camera to a 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor with a broader f/1.57 aperture and includes a top-notch 200MP ISOCELL HP9 periscope telephoto lens, which offers 3.7x optical zoom. Both devices share a 32MP front camera and are capable of recording video in 8K at 30fps.
Battery and Connectivity Features
The battery specifications also vary: the X200 is equipped with a 5,800mAh battery, while the X200 Pro has a larger 6,000mAh battery. Both models support 90W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. In terms of connectivity, they feature Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. The X200 is fitted with a USB 2.0 port, whereas the X200 Pro comes with a quicker USB 3.2 port for data transfer. Additionally, the X200 Pro includes an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, while the standard X200 has an optical sensor instead.
